- We’re thrilled to announce that yesterday, after months of construction and over 5,292 man hours to assemble to date, the team used a 500-tonne crane to lift the 92nd and final piece of Hyperia track into place!🎢
This final piece of track for our latest record-breaking attraction, Hyperia, the UK’s tallest, fastest and most weightless rollercoaster completed the 995.4m long masterpiece!🤩
Reaching breath-taking heights of 236ft and full-throttle speeds of over 80mph, Hyperia is set to push the limits of excitement!🎢

Ooh, I like that mix of the Hyperia theme in the background! Speaking of which, is there any word on the music for the rest of the park this season yet? I think I recall hearing something about some/most/all of it getting replaced, and I'm interested to see whether the new soundtrack continues to use the common motif from a bunch of the previous tracks, there's a different motif as part of the rebrand, or if each track is planned to be more individual going forward.

The majority of the cost is the design, outlay of construction and electronics. Making it longer really wouldn’t have cost that much more.

@@RossTurner94 I got the height from Blackpool pleasure beach website. Maybe it's the drop vs the height. I'd be interested in the stats of that for both coasters.
@@sdhunter I think Pleasure Beach measure the big one from sea level, not it's actual base so their measurements are a bit of a cop out.
this ride is a no go for me.. this ride will go down in history as the ride that demolished loggers leap! destroying millions of peoples childhoods, destroying loggers leap a ride that made the park what it once was that made it worth goin to.. such a sad site the park dont have much left from the 80s n 90s rides that made the park great, really wont surprise me that one day youll have them last few rides removed.. when you.. you mite aswell shut up shop and call it a day!

you can't keep rides just because of nostalgia, and a log ride from decades ago isn't going to keep revenue coming into the park. It's hardly destroying childhoods, is it? Thorpe Park need this coaster badly, and I think it's going to put the park on the map. If you decide not to ride Hyperia just because you don't agree with Logger's Leap being taken out then it's your own major loss.
You realise things do move on, right? Otherwise, theme parks would be full of boring carousels.
