The zebra (All species & facts)

In this video, we will be taking a look at the three extant (Living) species of zebra: Plains zebra (E. quagga), Mountain zebra (E. zebra), and Grévy's zebra (E. grevyi). All species of zebra are native to Africa and are members of the Equidae family and genus 'Eguus', which also includes horses, donkeys and wild ass.

The scientific name of the plains zebra is actually Equus (Hippotigris) burchellii, the recently extinct quagga is a separate species and is not closely related to any living zebra species and is instead the most basal of all the recent zebra species.
