    sweet ride, i just picked up a 63 with the original V6 and 4 speed . the guy was about to dump it on the side of the road so got it for free and gave it to my brother. he calls me every day and gives me updates on what he "wants" to do . his has the walk thru into the cab and flip down gate.

    Good looking rig. I’ve got a 65 Chevy dually open road . Must be one of the few that are left. Has the same slider and has the deck. They are cool.

    Incredible! Work of art. Makes me want to start looking for an old school camper.

    WOW beautiful specimen. My "old" buddy had one identical except it was on a 1ton 4x4 chassey , this thing was as untouched as they get man. He n his dad yanked the original numbered 327 out and threw the rest away. :'-( i could have puked.

    My wife and I just bought a 1964 Chevy c 30 One Ton Open Road Camper, sept 22, 2017 and it has the back porch that folds up, Wow with a 283 4 speed and you can steer it with one finger. My tow truck driver said he had never seen a rack and pinion steering system on an older truck. It's just what he said! Rack an Pinion? Anyway - thanks for this video - you would like our camper, I wish I could send a picture.

    Those glass doors are great and with the folding porch will be even better. I've seen those rigs before, about 40 years ago.

    I have one of these gems! For sale I'm in Pendleton Oregon. It runs but is a project. My health had forced me to give up this dream. It deserves to be restored. Having a hard time determining the value. Any ideas?

    I have a 1964 as well. I'm having a hard time finding the VIN tag location? I remember seeing it in a super weird spot when I first went to look at it. I need to have a vin inspection done. PLEASE HELP! Thanks!

      Clyde Mcnitt, if you haven't found it yet, open the drivers door and look on the post where the latch is or on the hinge side

    Gotta get that drawbridge/deck out back.
    Couldn't you replicate it out of lightweight composite material to keep it lightweight & when out of use could fold in two when you raise it so you could still see out the back when it's in the up position like a delivery truck hydraulic deck.

    • @NeilABullock
      @NeilABullock  6 років тому

      Last time I saw this rig he did have the deck on it!

    Why don't modern cakes have porches? I'm trying to design my own camper and it includes a fold down porch.
