There is nothing wrong in cannula,wherever the vein is visible cannulization is done on it. And about that tape it's not only use for fracture, that tape is especially made for fixing cannula so that it is stable and no leakage. Everything is fine.

I'm a doctor,I am really disappointed by what you said, sometimes while inserting needle ,we don't get the right pressure of blood flow, so that's why we have to inject in other vien,it doesn't mean that doctor isn't qualified.Be responsible while you speak,have some knowledge about medical field,and inserting in that particular vein is absolutely normal,if you haven't seen in your life,it's your problem.

I am a doctor, and this video is really disappointing. A doctor doesn’t insert a cannula, its the job of a nurse. And cannula can be inserted in any vein provided it doesn’t branch and disrupt the blood flow. It might be bothersome to her as its on the side, but its not wrong. Please do not speak anything against doctors without any knowledge. If you have an audience of 2M, Be a responsible youtuber and avoid such misguidance.

Ms. Varsha: I don’t know if you are a healthcare professional and if your are, i have no idea where you work, but in our government set up where I work - our nursing staff is as capable as our doctors. To share the burden they too insert cannulas and catheters where there is a shortage of Junior doctors or interns. And I’ve seen numerous incidents where nurses do insert iv cannula and not once have they said that it isn’t our job. I guess we are lucky to have such nurses who consider healthcare as their prime duty and not arguing on what is and what isnt their job. They are also authorised to insert IV cannula and catheters - if they weren’t they wouldn’t have been taught about it as well. (Kindly enquire a specialist nurse around you, im sure she / he would know more about this than you, and if yourself are a nurse I would advice you to revise your syllabus) As long as you are a trained healthcare worker and you know how to insert an IV - no one is going to stop you. Healthcare comes first for nurses and for doctors. Thanks and peace out! 🙌🏻
