- Given the response to my last vlog, here is a quick video for you guys to get to know me a little bit better - 5 Things in fact! Plus, there is a bonus if you watch all the way to the end (hint: I kinda turn into a pretzel). There are so many great things I have planned for this channel! Including (hopefully) posting TWICE a week - that's twice the Tara! Tunes with Tara will still come out EVERY Sunday - but now I will also be posting one of these vlogs or an IMG Tales med school video on WEDNESDAYs! I'm hoping to get one out every week - but as always school comes first! So if posting the extra video gets in the way of me being able to do my school work, I'll have to rethink the plan...

You are beautiful and I want to say that special children have problems with their peers. The fact that you didn't fit in with them was proof of your excellence, but they didn't understand that and that's why they rejected you. I am glad that you have successfully overcome this and that you have proved to everyone who you are with your work and effort. I have a 12 year old daughter and she is just going through the same thing at school. She finds it hard to accept that she is different because she is eager to socialize and play. She plays the piano, wins math competitions, paints great, she's beautiful ... She'll be glad to show her your example. I wish you all the best and go ahead.

Music therapy was actually how I first learned music which is why I now hold an associate’s degree in music studies.

My mom knitted and crocheted. She would create socks, sweaters, blankets, gloves, mitts, etc by hand. I actually have one final piece that she created out of scraps when I was maybe 10 or 11 years old. 45 years later and it is still being used in my family.

As soon as you said you were a music therapist, two songs immediately came to mind, Clint Black - “State Of Mind” and Trisha Yearwood - "The Song Remembers When". I know these are on the county side, but cut them some slack. :-) Give them a listen; you’ll see how I think they relate to what you do.
Even though I don’t have a sherd of musical ability, except for being able to whistle a tune once in a while, music has been a very large part of my entire life. Music is a powerful expression; I have heard classical music played with such passion it can bring a tear to your eye. Never lose the passion you have for music, the world would never be the same if you did.

Two from Tara!🥳 No way for the broomstick trick...too old and definitely not flexible enough! I’d probably trip myself with the broom! I think we all were dorky/nerdy at that age. Stumbled on your AGT audition a few minutes ago and got stuck since you are the full package, intelligent, beautiful, talented yada yada - what really puzzled me, how it is possible how you were not popular in school (at all?). I really need to vouch some of your former classmates how much they are sorry now.
Tara, It was nice to learn a little more about you...as it would be for just about anyone. For all of us/those who struggled as misfits in youth you've done and are doing a great service. That's interesting that you like to knit, the blanket looks comfy and warm. My aunt has a whole room full of yarn! She would make us blankets for our birthday.

There are still many other things we don't know about you, such as what other languages you speak, whether you intend to stay in Ireland after you graduate, and of course, last but not least, what your blood group is.

You must be having Hyperflexible joints to do the broom trick. Happens in Marfan's or Ehler-Danloss syndrome :)
Female Asperger's likely... just finding out about it myself... and the comorbidity of EDS. Lots of beautiful people on the spectrum! We just feel a little out of place..

You could have told everyone that Jessica Biel was your mom and they would have believe you in school. Just kidding. I am Asian and you think you had a hard time in school. But the funny thing is thats how kids are in school. Because at our high school reunion all of them treated me like I was their best friend. I even got voted for the least change. Didn't think anyone would even remember me in the first place. Everyone will know who you are at your reunion because of how sweet and beautiful you are inside and out.
