I did around 500 sessions at Fleetwood in Revere, MA on their classic API (where the late/great Bill Ferruzzi used to work). Great console and very warm sound.
When doing a listen comparison between a recording in the box (I.e. computer/laptop,) and then on an API, I could cleary hear the difference, even on an iPhone! However if your needs/requirements involve deep usage and integration of a DAW and a lot of post production, I think there are better offerings/solutions to consider?
I got the info I have been searching for ALLMY LIFE needed in just 2:30min... Thank YOU Joe
We tracked and mixed on an API console (The Box 2) on our latest record and the results were astounding. API for us and for life!

I record on api, post produce in daw and mix on api, utilizing the best analog and digital has to be creative, what better could there be?
Shawn Everett sums up his mixes on API's, with better results than in his DAW, as he says.
