In those times with Joe Daniher, they were coming off the drug saga incident at the team. The whole incident sent the club back about 10 years. They lost draft picks. So they were in a rebuild / recovery phase.
I feel like he was one of the first places you really remembered and knew when watching highlights. As a pies fan, shame to see him go his last two years were great. He's known as a big of an odd guy, he lives in the bush mountain area not near big cities and doesn't own a tv. He drives from another different state to train! But maybe only like a 2 hour drive one way
Yeah, he was a champ, we're gonna miss him at the Lions, for sure. The Lions still haven't acquired a replacement tall forward, I'm guessing they're not going to as there aren't any, out of contract that are of Daniher's ability.
