This is a great segment that I hope to see continue on. You guys really impact the consumer market of fly fishing, and setting standards for quality in the market is so IMPORTANT! Thank you for your service and Tight lines Trident Crew. P.s. I would like to see an in depth look at the Echo series of rods. EPR, s3, etc., these products are under branded and need more quality reviews to get their name out there!
One thing I'd like to see in any reel comparisons are the cost of the spare spool. There's a bunch of high quality reels out there but some of the spare spool prices are very expensive. I know few people who don't purchase a spare or sometimes two. I still have a Tibor Backcountry Wide reel with three spools. The Ross Evolution Salt spare spool cost keeps me from buying that reel. The Tibor Everglades spool cost isn't too bad but the Nautilus CCF X2 is even better
I sold mine and brought an older NV-G so much better drag and looks. The drag on the CCF-X2 is the worst drag i have come across on a saltwater reel. To much adjustment come on Nautilus you have made probably the best saltwater reel on the market NV's. Time for a new model with better drag please. .
Would this be a good choice for a 13-14ft spey rod in 9/10 wt? 220yard of dacron backing, shootingline and shootinghead would fit on it? Greetings from Norway :)

One of the better reel reviews I've seen. Great work guys. Love the production quality.
Would you say that the 8/10 can comfortably work with a 9wt as far as backing capacity?
Awesome I'm torn between getting the 6/8 or the 8/10 Version

Great idea for a video series. Looking forward to your insights on reels.

Sage Spectrum LT please
Is it click in/click out? or just click out?
I was going to ask the same question. I remember reading somewhere that it does not click when peeling line off of the spool
Awesome videos!
