I'm a new viewer and really enjoyed your stitching! Thanks for the reminder that God has different plans for all of us. I was in a car/train (yep, train!) accident 35 years ago and it was a good reminder. Since I was given a second chance, I decided to be a teacher and I've been teaching for 30+ years.
My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. Aging parents suffering during these last years, is often too much to bear and observe, and I hope your father does not have to suffer with his aging process but when he is ready to be called home..he will go quietly in his blessed sleep. My mom passed away a few years ago at the beautiful age of 94, and I miss her everyday, but like you, I know her salvation is assured as is mine and my sisters. Be well and stay strong in your faith as you are covered by HIM.
Oh, if I could only give you a hug, Bonnie. You are so sweet and genuine. I will keep your dad, Don, in my daily prayers as well as you. I love your videos and always learn many new things from you. Thank you for all that you do and share. Looking forward to the next video (#43!) and I wish you peace, strength and love always. Merry Christmas, dear Bonnie! ❤🎄❤🦌❤🐑❤🎄❤
Oh Bonnie, I am praying for your Dad and you..I wish I could hold you and comfort you but I know our God is doing this. This is my first Christmas without Dad and so hard. He had dementia at the end but we had 96 years beautiful years. As his primary caretaker, we were blessed to have him at home holding him as he went to meet God. Stay strong sweet Bonnie, you are so loved by us and God. Merry Christmas.
You're a lovely person. I love your word of the year, "Abide" and that you shared the bible verse associated with why you picked that word. Blessings to you and your father.
I’m so sorry about your father’s diagnosis. Understandably you are stressed. Hugs. I would like to wish you ,and your husband ,a Very MERRY and HEALTHY CHRISTMAS, from SW PENNSYLVANIA.
Ha! Love all the TICKS and tricks. I love all your yearly words you choose and the new year one is a great one. "Abide", it just brings comfort doesn't it. I don't have to make things happen or force things, I just have to stay close in Him, leaning on and trusting He has it all worked out. Partners with God - I do my part and He does the rest. Hugs, Kristy.
This is my first time watching your floss tube and I fully enjoyed. Sorry to hear that you are some trouble times in your life. Sending hugs and prayers
Thank you, sweet Alison! We had a restful Christmas. Life got complicated yet again! I’m stitching in the evening though and coming to a finish on my little Merry One pillow. Hope you are keeping warm!
Bonnie my heart aches with you. My dad also had dementia. It is so hard on a family as you sadly already know. I will remember you, your brother, sister and dad in my prayers. God will guide you even when you grow weary. Give yourself grace and time as you need it. May you find joy nevertheless, Merry Christmas ❤️🎄🙏🏻
Bonnie, I lost my mother to the same awful disease. My prayers are with you, your Dad, and your entire family. It's so very difficult but I found that treasuring every moment and laughing as much as possible helped me get through all the sadness. And we sang A LOT! We sang so much (when my Mom couldn't even speak, but by golly, she could sing) that my granddaughter decided to become a music therapist and now works with patients in hospice. She is amazing but seeing the joy she brings to hundreds of individuals makes me feel so blessed that she watched my Mom and found her life's calling. Thank you for your video. I learned so much and can't wait to try some tips and tricks. I'm looking forward to #43!! I have a piece of advice for you and I pray you take this in the love that it is given. Before you get to the point where you're telling your audience how tired you are, take care of Y*O*U and cut off the video. I know you want to share much with us and we all enjoy it, but we'd rather see you rested and on top of your game while you're with us. I love you, in Christ, and pray for stamina, discernment, and patience with yourself as you work out the details of your life. Know that the Lord is right there with you and has already considered the plans he has for you! What joy is that.....you know, the kind where weeping endures for the night but the morning brings an incredibly peaceful joy. Take care!! Willa Brown
Willa, thank you for your dear encouragement and thoughts, I appreciate them so much! Also, how precious to have shared all the singing with your Mom and then to have your daughter take up that calling and being joy to so many! Yes, Mom and I sang those lovely old hymns often and it brought us both joy!
Thank you Bonnie for always sharing your heart. I love your videos and hearing of your faith. Prayers for your father in Colorado. It is never easy for us as adult children of ailing parents. Since you started the "stitch what you have" that is what I have been doing for months and will do in 2022 as well. Be well, my sister in Christ!
Hi Bonnie. I always get excited when I see you have posted a new video! I am never disappointed, they are all great. I was saddened to hear about your father. I will keep him, you and your family in my prayers. I think I have shared with you that my mama had Alzheimer's. It's not an easy thing to deal with. I know how heart bracking it is. My heart goes out to you! Hoping you had a Merry Christmas and wishing a and Kurt a Happy New Year! PS: Really like your word for the new year. I haven't settled on mine yet. Guess I better get it soon as this year is almost gone!
Jan, good to hear from you! Yes, aging and all the heartaches that come with it in those you love are so very challenging! I’m trying to keep my head above water as I face each one. Thank you for your prayers and support!
Thank you for another wonderful video. Always enjoy you so much. You have awesome ideas. Love them all. Your sharing at the end is so encouraging and powerful. Thank you for your love of God's word and your sharing. You have a blessed Christmas and Stay Strong in God's word. Big Hugs and Prayers for you. 💖💖🙏🙏.
You are a joy, thank you for sharing your heart. We will be praying for you, your down-sizing, and your dad, Don. You reminded me I need to pick a word for 2022.
Hi! Oh man I need to write notes. Umm. Loved it all. And also I totally understand the mum stuff, been 12 yrs and still hurts, and 6 without dad. Love the pillows and the decor is so beautiful. Oh girl tiny house living, yes and I wish it was more conducive in Canada but they aren’t allowed in many places. We downsized and purged because we were going to do full time rv before my cancer dx.and yes it can be difficult. Hugs.. I also understand the alz issues as I worked in the alz unit of nursing homes. I will pray for you all.and Bonnie, slowwwww down, calm down and believe. 💜. Also forgot, went and subscribed to mountain crafts so cN check out the log cabin and stitching!
Dear Bonnie; I always look forward to watching your videos. I too have been decluttering. You inspired me to also make a bee box which I plan to post a picture of on my Instagram soon. I’m sorry your life has had so much turmoil lately. Prayers for you and your dad.❤️
I'm sorry your heart is heavy. God Bless you. I like your choice of a word for the year. I'll have to think about that. Happy Christmas to you and your family.
I love your videos ,I settle in with a smile and a prayer when I see that you have posted a new one….I enjoy all your projects….I pray that you enjoy the process of all you do. Merry Christmas to you and your family…God bless❤️
Hi Bonnie I love all your ffo’s they all look amazing 🤩 you are so talented. I want to say thank you for sharing yourself with us it’s a blessing finding your channel. I send you a hug and prayers during this time. Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year 😊🧵🤗🤩🎅🎄🤶
My sister in Christ, Bonnie, my heart just aches for you...and your dad Don...you and your family are in my prayers always....I will lift your dad in special prayer. I am always here if you need to talk. Always.
Hi Bonnie (little elf), love all these great ideas for finishing. I've been stitching up a storm for small Christmas pillows but will make some of these small boxes after Christmas. I bought 2 small boxes at Hobby Lobby today and am so excited!!
Hurrah for stitching boxes! I’m glad We have so many fun ways we can use our stitching and get even more joy out of them! Now when I see a new box size, I’m thinking what I can make out of it!
I take pictures of my seasonal decor too to help me remember how I did it the year before. I use the white plastic grocery bags (you’re in CA and not allowed to have those, right?!! 🤪) to keep everything as organized as I can. I’ve run out of table and countertops (because I don’t have much to begin with) so I’ve started putting small decor pieces on the stairs off to the side. 🤣🤪 Our master bedroom is downstairs so we only go up the steps to our guest room/ sewing room/ office. I’m hoping my daughters will take a few of my older decor and free up a cabinet for me. I am so sorry about your father’s diagnosis. And for Don losing his wife like that. Our son is an LV Metro police officer and we worry so much. A young police officer here in the summer of 2020 was shot in the back of his head. He survived but needs a respirator to breathe and is a quadriplegic. He is only 30 or 31 now. 😢 His first name is Shay. Please keep him in your prayers, please. 🙏🏻 Have a blessed Christmas, Bonnie. ✂️🪡🧵❤️
Bless your heart Bonnie, I’m sorry you’re having to go through this so soon with your father. My prayers and love go out to you. As you know if you remember my story I do understand some of what you’re going through. Even though my mother had different issues it’s so very hard. I don’t know if saying merry Christmas is appropriate but just know that you’re loved by the God of the universe. 🙏🏼💞
Merry Christmas is perfect! I appreciate your love and encouragement so much! We had a simple and peaceful Christmas with our kids and kept our Jesus in mind as we enjoyed the day. Even when I get sad, my Christmas decorations and lights bring me happiness!
God bless you. My heart aches for you as you feel your own heart ache with the different things you have to deal with right now. I know you have the Lord with you. Can you imagine what it would be like without Him? He is always present. Praying and wishing a very Merry Christmas.❤️🪡🧵❤️
Hello Bonnie. It is a pleasure watching you and sharing your joys of needlework. Could you please tell me about the red quilt on right side. Merry Christmas to you and your family. God Bless.
Yes, I used the Book Stitched (sewing organizers) by Aneela Hoey. I have used that often to learn how to make several items. I enlarged the 2 sided organizer, but next time I will make it even wider to fit a full size pattern book.
I will pray for you and your father. It is so hard to watch as your parents struggle with aging. I couldn’t believe you watch tiny houses too! I watch them and am hoping they will helping me see all we can live without as we think of retirement.
I’m fascinated with all I learn about a simpler lifestyle and letting go of all the extra things that hold them down. I have been trying to adopt that kind of mindset, even in a regular size home. It’s coming more natural to pass the extras along or not gather them in the first place. Glad you love the idea too!
Vonna has a great Flosstube channel called The Twisted Stitcher. She is a professional finisher and has so many diffferent finishes she shares. I have learned so much from her in my first year of finishing my own items. I know you’ll love her!
Merry Christmas to you and your family. I pray that you feel the love of the Lord, your protector and that the peace of Jesus Christ envelops you as you decide how to proceed with your future plans. God bless you.
