- This is the PROPER RIP of the "Elephant Graveyard" theme from the Lion King SNES OST. The SPC state, because of its usage of hotswapped samples, produces a distorted, untuned sound. This was recorded directly from the game

Fun fact, that line threw out Jeremy Irons's voice, and then Jim Cummings took over for the rest of the song. That means that this was probably recorded in one take up until that point.

in all seriousness, that one line plus the animation accompanying it has been ingrained into my brain since i was a little kid. once it enters my head, it's hard to get it out, jeremy irons put a lot of passion into that line.

I love this game I finished it
I actually fixed up the SPC file myself to account for that problem, even though I had to overwrite some SFX samples to pull it off. I also did that for the other tracks that used sample swapping.
Thanks for posting; I used the incorrect one in a medley video and it's been bugging me.

I gotta say, I prefer the SNES BGM better because it sounds closer to how it sounds in the movie. You can even hear the vocals in the other songs. The Genesis just sounds too 8-bit for me.

@@tenzaemtade6146 no, the genesis version is more upbeat and alive, but the the snes version its more accurate to the original soundtack.

In what spot did you record the music? The beginning is impossible to stay alive because of the hyenas attacking you.
I just cropped the audio at the beginning of the loop using Audacity.

Interesting to hear alternative on Snes, since I am originally used to Sega version.
Certain instruments I like here. But overall the track is missing depth compared to Sega version.

why people think genesis bgm is better? already listened it and snes is way better, remember the movies more
even if the arrangement on genesis isnt anything more than "okay" its still often enough better on a musical standpoint.
Because the snes version has too many midi which don't fit with other instruments and are off key.
@Koopa Enterprises just because it sounds like the movie doesn't mean it's better lol it's a game it's meant to be a game version, not orchestra which is why the genesis version is better
@@tenzaemtade6146 honestly, genesis version sounds much more limited than this one, it simply doesn't play a lot of the lyrical notes and this plays all of them and sounds uniform while doing it.
