If you listen to the breakdown, there are three different tracks in one and you can tell Drake added the third part after euphoria. But Kendrick already knew what Drake was going to say since Euphoria and told Drake not to do it by sprinkling a few warnings of where he is going too. From the beat selection and so on. Then he soned Drake, his children, and provided free family therapy to the grandparents. The 30 min drop just proved that Kdot knew all of Drakes movements for real. Even if you remove the daughter part, can one argue the behavioral analysis provided by Dr. Lamar.

Family Matters was a nice track I'm not gonna lie. Honestly Drake was doing well in terms of a traditional rap battle. Kendrick just came in with such a hard-hitting and REAL dismantling of Drake on a human level though. I think this track hits harder for people who are a little bit older and understand the responsibilities of being a man in your 30s and taking care of your family - something Drake is not doing. That's why to me, it's more damning than any traditional battle rap punchline or one-liner. Like you know this shit was like a dagger to Drake's very soul.
