He has a golden globe but no, not an Oscar, most likely because he doesn't tend to do drama movies which are usually what gets the academy's attention. And perhaps the timing is always off on who he goes up against. Hell, look at Leonardo DiCaprio, he didn't get one until not too long ago.

Amber trying to cancel him by hopping on to the "#metoo movement" certainly didn't help. I've seen SO much chatter from people saying they didn't know he played in roles that he was very famous for, apparently before their time. I guess I'm getting old because I never expected that some adults may not know of Johnny Depp in the same way I do. In court he never admitted that he would go to children’s hospitals to entertain the sick children. Never did he give himself that pat on the back in a public court in trying to save his reputation.
In a way, he did. Pretty sure AH's team tried to say he never donated to the two Charities before the divorce. He said he donates anonymously to many and that he often works it out as promotions with Disney (visit hospitals). Earns alot more than a simple donation
So glad JD's path led him to acting, even though it wasn't his first passion. IMO only, millions of more people had the opportunity to watch this master at his craft. I'm not saying he wouldn't have made an excellent Rock Star, as we all know that he would have, just saying he reached more people through film than he might have as a musician. Either way, he is a creative soul and was meant to share that creativity! Hoping this current issue with AB is soon resolved so that he can move forward. 🌼🍀
Johnny could have easily done both - acting and music back then. They wanted to turn him into a teen heartthrob. He might have been a splash in the pan for eye candy only. He had more substance about him than that. Happy for him that he has found a way to keep both of his passions alive.
He is shuch a good actor, he put a smile on my face just seeing how talented he is and how much work and natural gift he has... and i hope he will still have the psyche and energy to act again after all the abuse he went trough
The willy Wonka voice really threw me off lol honestly never knew it was JD, I thought it was the guy that played Knightcrawler in xmen 2, aka the guy that played Loki in the son of the mask, I don't remember his name
I gotta say I was surprises at his normal speaking voice .. deep. Then suddenly I realised his vocal acting ability is versatile perfect for his many characters of which I wasn't really aware. Glad he came to light & now he'll be just as sensational as an artist that he is. Can't wait to see his first global box office hit post trial, plus his concerts. He totally deserves the admiration of the world, & its the stage where he belongs. He’s so talented that it really makes me sad how a nasty lie tarnished his reputation that he worked so hard during his 20s. Out of all of his characters, Capt Jack Sparrow is my favorite, that’s why I will never watch another Disney movie after 2018 (the year that Disney fired JD). There are so many amazing performances Johnny has created. My favorite film is Secret Window and Finding Neverland. That said, I will not watch Disney or Jerry Bruckheimer’s films until they apologize to him. He can do better.

I grew up with him in my life on TV and he faded out a little, but during the trial I wanted to be there for him and as I was, I feel in love with him all over again!! my son is coming to visit next Week and we're planning on a 2 days on binge watching our favorite movies! we are texting back and forth on which movies and how long they are, what were ordering out and how many bottles of wine we need 😂
