- This time I made short promo of UFC 230 lightweight bout fight between Dustin Poirier vs Nate Diaz.
Turns out Dustin Poirier won’t wait for a title shot, after all. Instead, “The Diamond” will welcome back Nate Diaz from a lengthy layoff. Matchup will take place at UFC 230 on Nov. 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Diaz (19-11 MMA, 14-9 UFC) hasn’t competed since UFC 202 in August 2016 when he lost a second welterweight encounter against Conor McGregor by majority decision. The fight was an immediate rematch of a UFC 196 encounter in March 2016, which Diaz won with a stunning second-round submission.
Poirier (24-5 MMA, 16-4 UFC), No. 3 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA lightweight rankings, fight for the fourth time in 12 months when he takes on Diaz. “The Diamond” has won three consecutive event headliners by knockout, stopping former UFC champ Anthony Pettis, former WSOF champ Justin Gaethje and, most recently at UFC on FOX 30 last weekend, former UFC and Bellator champ Eddie Alvarez.

Nate is definitely not over rated ..I wasnt a big fan until I did my research...his losses are to elite fighters and only 2 of them he got finished ..by crazy kick from Josh's shin and he was submitted early in his career to elite BJJ fighter...also half his fights he didnt even take that seriously..
@Marcus Middleton unfocused is exactly what I mean...but I do think he took McGregor very serious and hes actually been his best since losing to Rafael dos anos....he has admitted to not really getting excited about no name fighters for him or really studying how to beat them..he just goes in fights and if he wins..great .if he losses , fuck it...definitely not a true champion mentality..but hes still a warrior at heart..I do believe that if he fights conor at 155 ..conor has it easier than fighting him at 170..I believe he tkos nate...I believe dropping that weight makes his brain more vulnerable..conor has done things to nate no one has in the stand up game..
But I'm biased...I also believe conor beats khabbib...I think hes agile enough and will avoid clinching with him and pretty much pick him apart

here's my storybook ending: Nate finishes Dustin in a bloody mess; Conor _somehow_ finds a way to knock-out Khabib; Nate fights Conor for the UFC Lightweight belt, only _this_ time he _refuses_ to let him get choked out and beats him until the ref pulls him off! Nate says something like, told you, i'm not surprised! then he retires w/ more money than he knows what to do w/.

You must not know much about mma if you really think that this will be a walk through for Nate. Dustin is much more technical and has knocked out guys that have very tough chins like Eddie and Justin Gathje. If its a 5 round fight, I would favor Diaz, but since Nate is a slow starter and that the fight will only be 3 rounds, Dustin should win by decision. In addition Nate doesn´t have knockout power, so it´s not as dangerous for Dustin even though Dustin´s chin is questionable. Tbh I hope that Dustin wins because he seems like a good dude and he doesn´t carry himself around like a jackass unlike Conor. In addition he isn´t the spoiled brat that Nate is and Dustin actually accepts fights unlike Nate.
