Today, for the first time, I tried running like in this video. It was cool, but first I want to tell you my background. I run about two or three times a week. I'm in my seventies with mild knee and heart problems. I sometimes must stop in the middle of my run, but I usually finish the distance. I always feel proud that I made it lol. I've been running since I was about 50 and I moved next to a beautiful golf course with a hard black macadam path that's well lit at night. Doing the math, I've been running there for well over two decades. i intend to run as long as my health will allow it. I once had to stop running for about six months because my knee hurt a lot. I went from running 4 times a week to 2 or 3 times a week. it takes me 36 minutes to run my usual two miles. That's 18 minutes per mile..Sometimes I have to walk for a while and then run. I call it my walk-run. I've never been a fast runner and 20 years ago it took me 12 minutes to run a mile and my fastest time was 10 minutes. I never learned how to run properly and I reasoned that my knee problems was because I was landing with a pounding force with each step. I am tall and round-shouldered, so I run with my head is forward. I try running and keeping my head back a little. I also think that I hit the ground hard because I run so slow. I tried to imitate the guy in the red shoes/black jacket because he's my body type. It felt good running like that. I didn't time my run so I can't say how it affected my speed. I kept two things in mind: I kicked my feet up behind me, which I never did before. Second, I kept thinking that I was pedaling a bike in a fluid motion, trying not to pound the pavement. I used muscles I didn't use so I kept slipping back into my old style. The bottom line is that I liked it. I intend to ease into the style of this video. I wish I could ask someone to film me running. Maybe I will ask someone because lots of people walk their dogs on the jogging path. I'm just happy that I can still run. Thanks for the video posting.
Nate hello, I saw some video on UA-cam about correct running. A person sent his recordings and a coach was analysing movements in a slow motion mode. He gave a lot of information about what to correct in posture and movement. I am starting witch chi running too and find it so exciting 😀 good luck with your running adventures!
Thank you for this video. I like on spot running to improve form. Hope this would not give shin splint. It appears to me that it may give stress on lower legs.

Expecting the good makes it happen
Maybe it is the metronome being set to 90 as opposed to 180, but I saw one leg emphasizing the back kick more than the other on last two dudes.

I tried and I found it effective. It doesn't give any stress on front legs. Thank you. Can you post any other exercise ?
Thank you Tim
