Amazing pace jesse. This is why enduro racing is the best. The natural trails, flows, turns, the physicality, the pedalling. 13 minutes of riding is physical, this ain’t dh tracks that will last only for 4-6min this is brutal enduro pro stage, and more for tomorrow’s full race. Insane! Love enduro man 💯🔥❤️

The speed you are carrying, especially on the gnarliest sections, is just incredible 😯! And how you also manage to hold the speed over the flatter sections - they are really a great workout.
The Thriller is one of my favorite trails and I ride it quite often. Nevertheless I need twice as long for a full run 😅. But now I know the best lines, and next time I will shave off some seconds 😁.

That was mind boggling the pace you managed in that stage! So many lines to get just right and momentum to hit the ups with pace!! One of the best stages I have seen of yours. Reminds me of the crazy pace you had in the Canada Crankworx DH race you won 🥇

Right on! What a long stage. I really get the feeling that the difference between going really fast and being Jesse fast is how you really seem to pick away at every single possible line choice for speed, every rock, root, turn - for 13 minute run. Most people would go in autopilot except for major features and just focus on pedalling/pumping hard the rest of the way.
P.S. I love the droopy eyelid effect of the visor, it's like even the camera is getting a bit tired from such a long race!
P.P.S. Don't forget to charge your bike computer, you've exhausted its battery!

Unrealistic speed for your average rider - Jesse Melamed is not your average rider
He's average speed was 28 km/h for the entire run. That is crazy!

@@uci_mtbworldseries compared to Fort William, Amaury, fastest rider this year averaged a speed of 38 km/h on a track that more than half a lenght of this (2.8 km vs 6.3 km) with a lot more gravity. This alone makes Jesse's run a remarkable performance. Way to go champ 👍
