Quite the haul, Petrik! Thanks for specifically shouting out the breakins and supporting indie authors! So much going on in the book world, and it's nice to have BookTubers like you who help us keep track of it.
Wow, so honoured that Elements of Time has made it so high onto your TBR. Can't wait to hear your thoughts, and can't wait for you to check out the rest of the break-ins! 😄
That's such a huge haul! I don't know how you have space, my tiny shelves are cluttered. The Golden Compass is just gorgeous, I didn't know it had an illustrated edition. The Rest to the Gods is very good, hope you enjoy it! Happy reading!
Thanks for showing off THE FORSAKEN PLANET, Petrik! Hopefully one day it'll help scratch that sci-fantasy itch 😄. This is a wonderful collection of books you got here. I can vouch for many of the other Breakins ones, they're 🔥
Really glad that you dedicate a portion of your reading time to self published authors. Each year that goes by more of a treasure trove is available for readers. Nice reads 👍🏻
Mushroom Blues was a great read. I blasted through it, I would definitely recommend it! Elegy of a fragmented vineyard is on my kindle, I haven't had a chance to get around to reading it but looking forward to it for sure
Ooooh yes!! I am glad my incessant gushing over Spark of the Divine has launched it up your TBR heheh, I really think you will have such a blast with it! Mushroom Blues and the novella The Rest to the Gods are also amazing imo, the break-ins are ruling the indie scene right now haha. Also really enjoy seeing you get excited about all the Ize Press book mail you got, even though I know nothing about those stories. They sound fun!! 🤩
I just found your page about a week ago, but I really enjoy the content you put out there! Helped me get more organized with how I'm reading my books and what I'm looking forward to in the coming months. Thank you!
You're so welcome. Thank you for the kind words, too. Green Bone Saga is my favorite trilogy of all time. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying your time reading it!
Lots for me here, bought talon sister haven’t tried it yet love winnowing flame. Obviously I love his dark materials and last I heard he’s nearly finished last book in sequel trilogy and I read pillars of the earth a month ago and it’s brilliant deffo gonna read the sequels but I need a good chunk of time for those monsters
I remember you loving His Dark Materials! I finally have a copy. I must get the sequels too. Also, very pleased to hear you loved Pillars of the Earth. I heard so many amazing things about it!
I just got my copy of The Lies of Locke Lamora from the Broken Binding today! I haven't read the series yet. I am looking forward to it. My first sub series from The Broken Binding. I also got A Time of Dragons and Never Die from BB today. They had some issues with sending to the EU for a while, so all the April books came only now. And Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell from Folio Society came last week.
The Folio Society edition of Jonathan Strange looks absolutely beautiful. I'm not a fan of the book otherwise I would've splurged on it, too. I loved the tv adaptation, though. And hey, if Locke Lamora is your first sub-series, this means the second sub-series you get from The Broken Binding will have me involved the production! :D
Talonsister. Always wanted it. I love this videos. Their some of my favorets on booktube. If anywone ever juges you for them, just remember, as long as its not true, your good. Ignor pepole that dont help you. Cuse im sure you enjoy this videos to.❤
Heard great praise for A New God by Menilik Dyer (previously mentioned title was a mismatch) on the Three Body Problem subreddit. I'm looking forward to reading it, hope it turns out great.
@@PetrikLeo oh my! No, I'm sorry. I'm really embarrassed right now. It was about 'A New God' by Menilik Dyer. Cover of both these books looked really really similar and I mistook Forsaken Planet for that one. Really sorry, I'll dm the post link on instagram.
@@PetrikLeo hi, hi! Really sorry, it was 'A New God' by Menilik Dyer. I'm embarrassed that I mismatched the name, both of these covers have a very similar colour tone and I jumbled the names.
Hey Petrick. I read His Dark Material series as a young child and it is amazing! The Pillars of the Earth is one of my favorites. It's a chunky book but I promise you it's way too short. I didn't want it to end. I hope you enjoy it. Shanay. Cape Town. 🇿🇦
Griffins! 😄 I have only bought books on Kindle lately: The first novellas in the «Sun Eater» series (love the new cover for «Queen Amid Ashes»!) and the novella «Hengist» by Sean Poage. I have also inherited a copy of Dostoyevsky’s «The Brothers Karamasov», as well as Icelandic Sagas and books by Tarjei Vesaas. Cheers!
Your book hauls are something to aspire to, let alone your ability to read so many of them! 😂❤ PS - if you watch the His Dark Materials show season 3 has a bunch of my music in it haha
@@PetrikLeo Don't worry, I've found the perfect fix for this - just neglect family, work obligations, lock yourself in a room for a few weeks and boom! problem solved 😆
Hey Petrick! Sorry if you get this question alot, but i remember you had mentioned that youd like to read The Wandering Inn by PirateAba - just wondering if you still had this on your schedule? Thanks! Have a great day :)
Gormenghast is absolutely fantastic!!! Peake was very experimental in his writing, and a genius (his characters are very Dickensian and I love them all, but especially Fuchsia!), but you will notice a drop off in the final book, but that is due to Peake's health badly declining at that stage and he stated that he really struggled with writing the 3rd book. His later life is very sad and he died WAY too young 😞 His Dark Materials is fantastic, and the show (not the movie lol.) Great haul, Petrick! 🙂
Thank you so much! I look forward to reading both His Dark Materials and Gormenghast. Eventually! I didn't know about Peake's health and that he died young. :(
Have you read the manga Ooku: The Inner Chambers by Fumi Yoshinaga? Recently started reading that on recommendation it turned out to be one of the best stories I've ever read.
Is manga than serious like the Castlevania? There is the classic called Dracula....any similarities there? Enough with Twilight comparation. 😑 I like that series.
@@PetrikLeo 🙀 Cool: good dialogs, women with agency aaand long wavy hair present👍 why not say so! Also I don't understand why the obvious is being stated by Thx for explanation I was apparenly in need of it. 🤗
So glad our book box got to you safely and that you have a broad selection of books amongst them! Thanks again Petrik for shouting out the Break-Ins!

Glad you loved Mushroom Blues! Seems like many people liked it!
The Kingsbridge series is what got me into loving Historical Fiction. Ken Follet is a master.
I look forward to reading his books for the first time!!
