I think he is not taking into account several key factors such as the fact Ironmouse won last year, which will make some people want to give others a chance to win it this year, the fact that all the nominees run in similar circles and probably share a large amount of viewers which will cause people to vote for their favorites which is a lot different to last year where there were more distinct circles, and the fact that while Ironmouse got a lot of subs they were mainly gift subs which more shows the financial power of her audience rather than their dedication to her, which by comparison is lower than the dedication of Vedal/Neuro's community as shown by how much they took over Ironmouse's pixel canvas earlier this year.
I like all the people listed for vtuber this year. some thoughts though: Ironmouse: she's won 2 out of 3 already, very deserved, her streams are twice the viewership of the others but even some of her viewers might not want her win it again. Vedal: Neuro has gotten alot better this year and Vedal has extended reach with the JP and Bili-bili side of things. The swarm often outperforms with engagement. Vedal has also spread alot of goodwill across the vtuber sphere. Dokibird: I bet Doki could steal it this year. She's participated in so many events, even hosting a big one of her own. She's gotten into the same circles as Ironmouse, even getting cosplayed by Sykkuno lol. if someone voting doesn't watch vtubers, i suspect Doki snatches that vote. Zen: Sorry, I don't watch Zen nor have I stumbled on any clips. I would need someone fill me in on what Zen has done.
Zentreya is another huge charity supporter, like Ironmouse in that way. Most of what she has done, however, has been behind the scenes in helping lift up other vtubers. The voting public mostly doesn't know about that. She's a foundational EN Vtuber in that she's been around since before vtubers were a thing, making content inside of VRChat with Nagzz. All of that said, this probably isn't Zen's year. She's splitting the VShojo fans vote with Ironmouse, and at the end of the day, I think most of those core fans are goinf to vote for Mouse again. Vedal also doesn't have timing on his side. There's still a lot of animosity out there for A.I. in the general public, mostly due to so-called AI art which has nothing to do with Vedal, but it's a factor. The only nominee with timing on her side is Dokibird.

An award granted (in large part) based on a popular vote is always going to have some winner being selected based on some arbitrary criteria that doesn't seem fair to others. Someone who's only ever heard of Ironmouse voting for her out of name recognition has an equal vote to a regular viewer of all 4 nominees voting based on careful consideration. I think people are getting too involved and upset by the outcomes of these awards ceremonies, this isn't some divine mandate of heaven being bestowed upon the winner deeming them the one VTuber to rule them all. But somehow the buildup to it justifies fan bases slinging shit at each other for daring to support their favourite streamer.
