Nice video! I'll add for Audi/VW owners, do get VCDS if you're computer savvy - it will show faults that do not appear on OBD II - IE I suddenly had the fans always on, no faults shown. With VCDS I found a faulty, but working A/C circuit pressure sensor, still working but throwing silly numbers. New sensor in, problem gone. Also nice if you fancy unlocking hidden features... Side tool 3: get a tyre pump, it will save you a lot of money and hassle in the long run. I even helped a damsel in distress once.
Yes VCDS is very useful and the preferred tool if you have it. It beats the cheaper tools hands down. Good suggestion on the tyre pump. Luckily the 3.2 V6 already has one in the Boot/Trunk as part of the equipment.
Great video as always Mr C. All those tools are great. Do you have one of the adaptor things that goes on trolly jack? Ive looked everywhere for one so it fits shape of car for better lifting? The M18 or was it M8 one the big one youve not used. I think thats the one i used for the steering wheel bolt to remove wheel:)
Another very useful vid Andy, I actually have a few 3 or 4 of those tools! I think that I might well invest in coil pack tool now...and looking forward to the video about those. I always carry a few spare coil packs with me just in case, but hope that the AA man has some tools with him! hahahaha Great idea for a channel give away too....that is an essential bit of kit if you own one of these cars.
Thanks Si. Yes there are lots of tools that make up the essentials and spare coilpacks are a must. I have one in the glove box at all times along with a Bluetooth code reader!
So I started watching, paused it a minute in, went to the basement, pulled out two trickle chargers along with rubber winter mats and headed to the garage. Aired up the tires last week - 5 pounds. Once again, thanks for your prescent work.
Anyone fancy fixing mine ? For money and tea/coffee bacon sarnie Need down pipe changing cat and rear brake lines or does anyone know a mobile mechanic near heathrow please ☮️ always a pleasure to watch your vids Andy ☮️
-Depinning tool for electrical repairs. -hose clamp tool; I have many types, knipex is good but it won't fit in most places, get the standard cheap one. -SILICONE SPRAY: you can't put hoses back without it. -A nice breaker bar or long 1/2" ratchet, can't work on the tt without one.
Hi there. Thanks for your comment. I got mine from Amazon for around £5. I will pop some links to the items in the description of the video now it is live.
Hi Harpal. Yes, there are 4 tools in that kit I have. ! fits the 3.2 coilpack (the one I show in the video is the 3.2 coilpack) and one of the others in the box, fits the 1.8T. So the kit covers both cars. Thanks for your comment.
Andy you are the man....
Thanks to you and all the other guys in the UK that makes these videos in helping me
with my mk1 Audi. Thanks
My pleasure Edwin! 👍

Awesome video as usual Andy! One question. The coil pack removal kit, does that work for both the 3.2 and 1.8?
