I'm talking printouts. Info on paper. Data embossed onto tangible, physical media. Of course, I don't meany anything so massive as printing out your photos or transcripts of your fav videos. I mean important stuff you need to have in case of emergencies: insurance info, prescription info, copies of your varying ID's, a list of emergency contacts; that sort of stuff. In this day and age, you never know if you and yours might wind up in a situation where you have to evacuate your home or work due to some disaster (weather related or, and I very much hope not, man-made). It's always good to have an emergency kit prepped for such situations, and that kit should contain paper copies of your critical info along with at least 3 days-worth of essentials. We've all become dependent on web access, but very few remember that access to the web is dependent on a ultimately fragile network of physical wiring. Data access can get cut off due to power outages as well as well as damage to network infrastructure (or both), so cover your bases by having data you might need to get help available when you're COMPLETELY OFFLINE. Sure, you might be able to keep your phone or a laptop charged and running, but batteries run down and electronics are easy to damage.
