With the fallout 4 building stuff that you don't like, I'm ~95% sure that in the main quest there's only 1 mandatory building part. It's only real use outside that one mission is settlement stuff so if you ignore that, you should be fine, no mods needed. Also, please react to more ymfah when you can, his stuff is amazing and perfect reaction material because of the chaos. I'd recommend his souls series videos personally, but maybe start with the bethesda games if you want to avoid spoilers for games you might not have played.
Appreciate that I think when I do eventually do a Fallout Letsplay I will only add mods for bugfixes and to make it look as good as possible more reactions to come but I need to play a Dark Souls Game 1st lol
