Hi Hilary. Completely agree. I'm 77. Yes, decades of musicians and "never seen the like". And, of course, nothing like ARMY either. There were always fan clubs but they never became family like happens with ARMY. Aren't his reactions so heartwarming?!

This little thought from Suga made my heart so happy. I found BTS on 2nd December 2021 and felt so bad that I hadn't been listening to them all this time... I hadn't heard of them. As someone who’s been a fan since the beginning, from 2013, I started out with them right, grew up with them, I was 11 and now I’m 20, so I never got the experience of diving into their discography as developed as it is today, so I love to watch people joining the fandom and experiencing the joy of immersing themselves into the world of Army’s and BTS. @@GOTGames these guys are the definition of " Started from bottom - now we are on the top ". They are so humble, down to the earth, always grateful to fans for everything they have. They are making a lot of charity projects and donating to different cases. Self produced, self composed, write the lyrics to almost all of their discography. As someone who has been ARMY since the beginning, I get so much joy watching people find BTS for the first time. They are something special, you can’t put your finger on what it is, but it is just BTS. They have worked their way into so many hearts around the world by just being themselves, no fake idols here. They have an impressive discography but that is only a part of it. With their behind the scenes content and variety style shows, they let us see just who they are - crazy, slightly loopy fun loving guys

Actually, that was Stage 1 for me. I hadn't even heard their songs yet, but I saw them on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke and literally wanted to know who was who, and that was it... My journey began from reading about them first, and then I started listening to their songs 😆

Dynamite does just put you in a good mood and it came out at a time when everyone needed it.

I’ve listened to SO many genres of music over the years. I’ve got to say that BTS blew my mind. Top notch quality, nods to the past with a modern feel. And the dancing!!! I think this must have been what it was like for my parents to hear the Beatles for the first time. I thought it was just me who felt this way until I discovered Reaction videos. They say BTS finds you when you need them the most. Last February my dad stopped swallowing and it was time for him to leave us. For 3 weeks we went to the hospital to be by his side till he finally passed away. This song got me through that time. I would listen to it everyday and it would be a little pocket of joy in a tragic time in my life. It will always mean the world to me and im so grateful these 7 boys came into my life. This song was released during the peak of the pandemic and meant to put a smile on people's face. Nothing deep just a happy song. And seeing your reaction it worked, right?
I genuinely enjoy watching your journey. I'd love to watch "Fire" with you and of course the introduction video. If you haven't got it already I'll leave a link here. This introduction video is brand new and don't be irritated by the title. It says "draft" because Taylor, the Army who made this video, is still taking suggestions and making adaption on this video. But it's already one of the best if not the best at the moment.
Last comment: yes BTS can put you in the best mood ever but they can also make you tear up instantly with songs that have deep lyrics and meaningful background.

Feb 18 is J-Hope day (so Friday in Korea but Thursday for U.S.) Glad you mentioned the songs are not just for smiles, they are for all the "feels".

For solo songs i highly recommend the live performances of Lie and Serendipity for Jimin, Euphoria for JK, Singularity and Stigma for V, Epiphany for Jin.
I recently discovered the guys. I love everything about them. I have become addicted to them and I am 67 years old. I told my kids that I can't believe they have captured me on the first song. Love your reaction too. It makes it happy as well.

You're right about changing the mood. This song was made for that. This song was relased in the middle of pandemic when everybody was in their worst moment, mentaly exausted and really sad. (Sorry for my english... I speak spanish. Hope u can understad my message). Greetings from Argentina.
Please just do a BTS channel! Yes. That is his voice! And yes, we get it. We all smile like you do. And millions of us feel that way. If you want after you watch the MV...watch a dance practice. Also, they have released different versions...different genres of the same song. Funk, jazzy, latin....it's fun to watch a live performance too. They recently filled Sofi stadium, 60,000 people each night for 4 nights. They did a live Dynamite. They had not performed live because of the pandemic. In fact, they never got to perform "On" for a live audience. Their world wide tour got cancelled. They grieved and we're really depressed. They said if they ever get to perform live again, they would perform "On" first. Since you have reacted to it ..go find their L.A. concert and watch them come alive with a concert. There are fan based videos of the concert out there. Enjoy.
I did not know they did not perform ON until the PTD in LA. I'm not sure how that concert could get more special, but knowing this makes me SO happy that I was there. They led with ON.
Dynamite, Butter and Permission to dance were released to cheer up Armys during the pandemic when so many, even BTS, were feeling down. I can't think of another musical act to do that during covid. No shade to other artists I just can't think of any. I'm sure others released regular music but not anything meant to bring a smile

The pop songs they do like this just takes me back to being a teen and fangirling over Backstreet Boys lol, in fact their fans between mid 20s to early 40s makes up the highest percentage of their fan base. I hope you check out their solo stuff. Jimin has a song and you can find a video of his performance called "Filter" it's really good!
ONLY RM is FLUENT in ENGLISH having taught himself by watching “FRIENDS” (his IQ 148), remember he’s the LEADER also, the middle of all of them age-wise. Only 2-3 of them are working diligently on their English. THIS FIRST GUY singled out is JIMIN: A MASTER OF DUALITY! Angelic voice, shy, sweet, loving, kind, utterly respectful and very demonstrative of his love for his brothers. When he performs, he is SENSUAL, TEASES, SEXY, OUT THERE! He is MY BIAS!

Watching you be all giggly and slowly losing your mind as you get deeper into the BTS rabbit hole is so amusing to me! 😂 It's great to see such a genuine reaction to BTS. I grew up listening to pop music but also a lot of stuff like Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, System of a Down, NIN, etc., and I have never seen a band more hard working, talented, genuine and engaging as BTS. Their shows are the best I've ever seen in my life. And to top it all off, they are incredibly humble, thoughtful and relatable. They write about so many important and serious topics, not just "bubblegum pop" or the typical love song. Welcome the ARMY!

English Singles: Butter, Dynamite aren't composed by the members. Written by Ed Sheeran and etc. Their korean songs are their strongpoint. They can't speak English only (1) member can. All english songs are "Feel Good" songs to help people recover from pandemic. (RM helped with writing Butter)
I recommend rap songs for male fans. you should listen to Agust D/Suga - The Last. It is the most personal song of suga where he revealed that before he got into a car accident which destroyed his shoulder. You cannot get into BTS without listening to this.
Note: BTS is the only kpop group not from YG, JYP, and SM (big entertainment companies from Korea) that is this successful. BTS is better than any drug. The live concerts are beyond anything I've ever experienced! The energy when Army is all together...tens of thousands of them in one place, along with BTS, there is nothing else like it on the planet.
This is the first BTS song I listened to. To be honest, I wasn't especially interested in the song. Yet two weeks later I was at the bowling alley and the song came on and I was like, "Dynamite, yeah!" And I started jumping up and down (for joy). About 5 months later I was driving back to my hometown because my mom had covid... I knew she wasn't going to make it. I listened to this song about 20 times in a row as I drove and for some reason felt at peace about what was going to happen. I was granted peace, that is the truth. So that's what I always think of when I hear this song. The other interesting thing to me is who initially stood out to me in this video and who didn't. So now I feel like, I am sorry I didn't notice you Tae or Jimin. And I especially didn't notice my little kitty, Suga!
Everyone comments about Army as a community, but you need to realize that BTS transforms...it brings out the best in people...so it reflects in Army. They have made such a difference to all of us!

DYNAMITE was THE summer song of 2020! It was the perfect song not only for summer but also to lift our spirits during the early days of the pandemic. There are several different versions of it, like the B-side, the behind the scenes, the dance practice, the MJ dance break, Various award show performances, it just goes on and on. And of course there is the great live version at the beginning of their TINY DESK concert, which you should definitely check out!
I would also recommend turning on the subtitles for all their English songs as well as the Korean ones, just so you can tell exactly what they’re saying. You will also love BUTTER and PERMISSION TO DANCE, with all their myriad versions/performances. All their dance practices are also very much worth reacting to, as they show all the intricate choreography we don’t usually see in a music video.

BTS are just pure serotonin. Even though their music spans different genres and they also have many sad, sombre songs too. They have a way of touching you. And that's one reason they are the biggest group in the world. They just connect with people. I was actually surprised you liked this song so much because it's such a "pop" song. I'm sure you'll like "Butter" too. Maybe that should be your next song.
Your videos make me genuinely happy too, it's so incredibly nice to see someone so excited to watch bts and get so impressed by their talent. They're all super different from eachother, a few have really tough background stories, they all have their own hobbies, talents, and music style, along with very unique personalities. Every single one of them brings something new to the table and it's super refreshing.

They came out with Dynamite near the beginning of the covid lockdowns. Some people say that it is fluff compared to a lot of their deeper songs. I think what they were trying to do was give us something to cheer us up. And it certainly has done that for me and apparently for you as well.
They said they did want to cheer everyone. They wanted to do light fun songs because life had been so hard on everybody. They wanted us to smile and feel happy!

Yea. Yea. Here we go. So excited to come online and see you reacting to BTS again. You are correct. There is NO end. Yes, this is their first song in English then 2 other come along, "Butter" and "Permission to Dance". These are fun Pop songs NOT like all their previous songs. Do you know how amazing their English pronounciation is? They worked really hard to sing in clear English! We all smile and are happy. That is what they are like. Now you get it. Now you know why their fans are in the millions !!
Yes! They're what make so many of us happy and smile all the time! They have songs specifically for ARMY and they all make me smile just hearing them. BTS really are something else entirely.
I know what you mean when you say they make you feel happy. But make no mistake, their heavier songs will make you curl up in a ball and sob with existential crisis. They're not just sunshine and rainbow. And that's what's so great about them. For every human emotion that exists, there is a BTS song for it. Your grandma just died? There's a song for that. You're feeling angsty against the system? There are tons of songs for that. You're depressed and just want to cry? There's a whole catalog for that. BTS is a one-stop-shop. I literally do not need to listen to anyone else.

BTS really is my happyiness on dark days. I promise, there's nothing but good times and good friends ahead of you. BTS literally has a song for anyone and everyone, and seeing the joy on your face while enjoying them makes me so happy.
