Happy birthday on Feb 28 Jenna! Speaking of customers getting angry with Salvation Army staff..... A couple years ago I was thrifting happily in a Salvation Army, when a loud angry man drew attention to himself, over at the cash register as he berated the poor Clerk about their refund policy. Understanding the return rules were not in the control of the Clerk, and as the man was escalating his voice and his anger.... And really harrassing the Clerk.... I decided to intervene! LOL So I went over to the shoes, picked up a shoe and when the angry man was quiet for a SECOND, I interrupted him and said to the clerk in a happy cheerful voice, "Excuse me? Can you pls come here? I have a shoe question." The Clerk came out from behind the counter and came over to me. I showed her the shoe and whispered, "Just trying to get you away from that jerk!" So she and I faked a convo about the shoe and the disgruntled man left. LOL But really. Why would anyone harass a clerk in a thrift store. Puh-leeeeze. So she and I laughed at him after he left and she thanked me profusely!

Value Village isn't a non-profit. They actually make a lot of money and they only donate a small small amount to charity, maybe less than 10%.
That's why i don't shop at places like that. I try hard to go to non-profit places. (I don't always but i try)
