been dropping curbs like nothing for a while. didn't realize how much i sucked at it till you broke it down for me. thanks bro there's a lot of gold in this video i will take to heart.
Great tips, thanks dude! Drops always look WAY scarier than they actually end up being. It took me like 20 minutes to work up the courage to finally try a waist high ledge I’d been staring down. But the landing was actually totally fine haha. It made the second one easier for sure. The hardest part is the full send. Also! I’ve noticed on bigger drops like that you bend your knees reeeally low. That’s cool to see cuz it’s super smart! Less mass to move means less inertia, so a lighter landing.
That last tip about coming to a complete stop then doing a push off the edge is awesome! Gold. 👍👍 PS beware the new wave of spambots that are spamming Onewheel vids, usually girl names with tons of lovehearts... 😕
Hi Bodhi, there are a lot of drop tutorial tutorials out there but I think this one is the best. You addressed the most important part, which is inside the mind of the rider. I like how you mentioned to approach it with confidence, and to do that besides practice, you have to go over it many times in your mind too. Good one Bodhi!
Love how you break it down and explain each step. I started dropping without even thinking about it like I was skating but your explanations will help me master these on their wheel and make it look smooth and consistent.
This was terrific and I am stoked for the dawn of a new day to go practice! Yes indeed, I can relate to your comment of thinking about what can go wrong instead of focusing on my proper execution! That is a real mental flaw for me and it is just now, after hearing you point it out, that I am fully cognizant of it and will work on it with the same fervor that I will work on my drops! ➖🟢➖☁️safely Y’all ✌️
Great video for city street drops. Most drops I do are on trails and often they are downhill where the approach to the drop and the landing are all sloped downward. I tend to tail slap on the top, the landing, or both because I'm afraid of nose diving on the stomp. I hate nose diving downhill because it's harder for me to run out. I'd be curious what strategy you use for drops like that.
I been going over curbs wrong , always felt sketchy, was throwing my hands and weight up right before so I could be light on the board, so it could go over the curb , gonna try some of these tips
Been trying to get good at drops thanks Bodhi for the nice tips. Float on! I live in Austin Tx where it’s hot as hell. Any advice on good grip on the back footpad! Shoes or tape cause I feel like by back foot slipping off the back pad. I have a stock GT.
Thanks for this tipper cuz I've been dropping off the sidewalk and my feet always come out displaced more than they should and I have to adjust. I'm thinkin I wasn't going at it low enough
Question!🎉 Do drops break the boards in half ever? I’ve seen you guys huck so huge drops so I assume it’s okay but I’m curious if your guys ever break boards. I have a Pint X.
I was wondering if you guys could make a vid for the bonk sex change? I saw your video Bodhi when you did your other UA-cam channel. But it would be cool if you could make an updated version on this channel👍👌

You mean there aren't actually hot local singles in my area looking to hookup?! Dammit!
Yeeew! Some great pointers in this vid. I wasn’t really doing that final push coming off a drop, now I’ll have to make sure I do that! Thanks TFL!
Sweet tutorial! Looking at that new float fender though 👀👀👀👀👀

Yeee thanks Bodhi!
Doing an instructional video on a pint with an XR shirt, never felt so conflicted... Another great explanation 🤙
Hahahaha we can't be tied down to just one! Commitment issues for sure 😜

You're welcome!
Those fender deletes with the mini walls on each side look so dope. Would you guys consider making some for the XR? would buy them in a heartbeat!

Nice video. I'm the dork that comes down standing straight up with arms up😆

cracked me up big time. those things used to scare the shit out my daughter when she was real little haha.
I was that super tall guy hahahahaha knee bending from now on😄😄
a trick: watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
Thanks bodhi. Been practicing on curb drops, but definitely will work on that deweighting push. Awesome advice.
You got this!

My board is charging now, but in about 10 minutes I'm headed out to DROP Bros!!!! I've got to learn that 180 spin and curb jump
Yeah, yeah!
Thanks for this tipper cuz I've been dropping off the sidewalk and my feet always come out displaced more than they should and I have to adjust. I'm thinkin I wasn't going at it low enough
Yeah it's probably that and maybe you weren't giving it that small throttle touch to keep it under you. Have you had more success now?
I did my first drop off a curb at night. By accident. That was rad. Nailed it, though!
Sounds like a happy accident :)
Thank you!!
make it look like butter i hope i’m able to do it!
Yo, what’s the pressure in your wheel?
16-18psi
Question!🎉

Does bodhi use ceramics or steel bearings?
Ceramic!
Damn wanted to have ya here in FIN to show stuff live
What should my tire pressure be?
"Focusing on what could go wrong, you are stealing brain power away from doing it right" applies to so much more than just Onewheeling.
100%
Where did you get your half fenders
Great
🤘
Ooof just thinking about landing straight legged hurts my knees lol
🤙
nice video - the 180 was more impressive than the drops !
Thanks!
Don’t forget Part 6… stock up on XR parts for repairs lol

You could make one on your channel though and see how it does
People would still watch it
one question specifically, how high can you drop on a onewheel pint, and not bend your rails.
prob depends on how many twinkies you are that mornin
Exactly😂☝🏽
I’ve seen up to about 8 feet before no damage!
Fuck I love this crew
We love you too! 🥰
Rad sunglasses
👌
Ah here we are after just eating shit 😂 my knee is not suppose to bend that way.
The low speed is sadly more my speed will have to learn that one.
That kook needs a haircut, damn
Yeah dude, come on. Let's clean it up ya bum!
