- Magnetic Snap Hoops: Why You Should Get Them- In this episode I share my new DIME Magnetic Snap Hoop purchase. I have added 2 new sizes to my collection. These hoops are a must have and are a real hand saver for anyone who has trouble with strength in their hands, arthritis or just plain doesn't like traditional embroidery hoops. Snap hoops are available for all different brand sewing machines.
I also added a new addition to my craft room that I think you are going to love as much as I do. I feel like it warms the space and gives it a beautiful new look.
The embroidery pattern I showed with the heart and flowers is a design from DIME called Just Jackets by Joann Banko. You can purchase the design and all of the designs that come with it. It has some great designs that are perfect for bag, jeans and other cool items.

I have a Janome 400e and really wanted to try the Dime magnetic hoop in order to quilt. It made my machine emit a high grinding roar, the needle hit it and I was really afraid that it had damaged my machine. The company offered no help with the problem and charged me money to send it back. A complete failure and disapointment.

Will these hoops work on the brother pe 800?
I believe they will. Their website will tell you what hoops will fit your machine. ☺️

How do they compare to mighty hoops?
I use Mighty Hoops for my 10 needle machine and the Monster Hoops for my domestic embroidery machine. The Mighty Hoop is a much stronger hoop but the concept is the same. You can’t go wrong with either one. 😊

Can you use magnetic hoops for almost any fabric? What about FSL. I have bad arthritis!
Hi Jean- Yes. You can. I’m not sure I understand what FSL is. Can you let me know what that is please?
Free standing lace (FSL) is lace embroidered on hooped wash away stabilizers.
