Wow I didn't notice that before. Amazing details you've observed :) Yes I think the flume in HKDL is the same as that in Disney World but different from Tokyo and Paris. The flume in the latter two appears "wider" than the narrow canal in HKDL.
They look similar in appearance, but there are slight differences in structure. The boats in HKDL have metal bars at the back of the chairs, which are absent in Disney World.
