Absolutely it is a love story between them and their fans that they sang as the closer for their 10th anniversary tour.

When Saiki walks down the stage the verses she sings are additions to the normal song. Yet another thank you to the crowd. A band that truly cares about the support after the problems and setbacks. An audience who truly appreciates these wonderful musicians.

Last song, Po! This MV (33 of 33 from the show) is 4 of 4 MV teaser before the 10th anniversary finale at Yokohama arena Bluray/DVD release on Mar. 27, 2024. Was there (with about 10K others) and it was electromagnetic, Po! And, yes, this song is an anthem (love song) for us from Band Maid, Po! They have 3 other Fan "love" songs like this one. Btw, Saiki added a new last verse especially for this show. 😭 every time, Po! 🦍🍌

This band, in this arena, performing this particular song, is the musical equivalent of the moon landing.

Kanami wrote this song around 4 years ago with the hope and dream that they could perform it in an arena with everyone singing along. The Last verse where Saiki is thanking the fans was an added bonus for this show.

Yes, and it was Yokahama arena she envisioned playing it in too! She said the song is only complete with the audience. She must of been very proud that day!

This is the last song of the 3.5-hour, 33-song performance. They have worked hard for 10 years aiming for the big stage. They were so moved that they had tears in their eyes. This is a wonderful and moving video.

Nice reaction for someone without the full context of BAND-MAID. Trust me. Get to know their backstory and get to know the Maids and know how much they truly appreciate their fans. Then come back and watch this again. Your reaction will be different. Peace. 433

You need some context for why Saiki was so emotional at the end of this song.
Let me take you back to February of 2020.
Band-maid had just completed their 1.5 year long, very successful "World Domination Tour" and were a band on the rise. They had just announced that they had been booked to play at the prestigious Budokan in early 2021, which would be their largest show ever.
Then the pandemic hit. Everyone's lives were derailed, and just when Band-maid was about to explode in popularity, it all stopped.
Keep in mind that Budokan for a Japanese artist is like Madison Square Garden for an American.
So the band went into the studio instead and created one of the greatest hard rock albums this 57-year-old has ever heard ("Unseen World").
While the world was shut down, Band-maid's popularity began to grow via UA-cam and they started performing online concerts to stay engaged with their fans.
When the pandemic lifted, they began touring again, playing 500-1000 capacity venues in Japan and the US.
This performance at Yokohama Arena at the end of their 10th year anniversary tour was the largest in the band's history... about 10,000 people.
And this song was the 33rd song in a 3.5 hour performance-for-the-ages and the emotion of 3 years just spilled out of Saiki at the end.
They didn't reach Budokan, but 2.5 years of hard work culminated in Yokoari in front of a Budokan-sized crowd.
The BluRay of this show came out today. You should try to get a copy.

This song was written 5 or 6 years ago with the hope that one day they would be big enough to perform it at Yokohama Arena (where this was filmed) with the crowd singing along. For this performance, they added one final verse addressed to the audience. So you’re definitely right about the meaning and significance of this song.
