- Опубліковано 31 сер 2015
- Here is an early 70s syndicated episode of Let's Make a Deal.
We start off with Monty Hall going on a buying spree for several trader's props as everyone hopes to have a shot at the $10,301 Big Deal. Who will earn their chance?

Watched these shows as a child and loved the costumes and the surprises behind the curtains and in the boxes. Now it's so interesting to see products, appliances and cars from those days. Brings back warm memories of simpler times.
The beauty of these game shows is $500, for example, was a LOT of buying money...now today, $500 is one-third of my paycheck every two weeks!
This game show is better than anything on the telly today! 💲💲
I grew up watching this, when I was home from school!
for some reason, I enjoy these old episodes very much more than the new ones
+2right4words Yeah, the current show is more about Wayne than the traders.
+2right4words I like these old episodes because two traders go for the Big Deal.
That's not true. The current show is all about the traders!
Jeopardy Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune certainly still do
Old one sucks
I grew up, watching this show
It, is the best game show, EVER.
Monty Hall, you were the best!!
Do you by chance know which one had a blonde woman dressed as a Christmas tree with a halo. They make a commercial for the show with her at the time. I'm looking for this one because she's my Mom, thanks.
I love how Doris said "Yes" when asked if she was dressed.
Winner of the big deal wanted to hug Monty, but Monty backed away and just shook his hand. LoL.
BTW, Carol Merrill never ceased to look more beautiful than ever, especially back in 1972.
She could present a new car like nobody's business!
She's still alive and pretty
The "Flite Fuel" from Phillips 66 would be worth its weight in gold eighteen months later.
Rest In Peace Monty hall
13:44 YES! That couple had the best E.S.P. to win that $5,100+ '72 Chevy Impala. Way to go!
Not only that, but Ron scooped up a car, too!
1st time
Back when Impalas were nice
Rest in Peace Monty Hall.
Two cars 🚗 won in one episode. 😀👍
Well...........This classic episode sure pumped me up for the start of the New season with Wayne Brady! Thanks!
What a fun episode.
Love these old shows MONTY HALL AND WAYNE BRADY AS WELL SUCH A FUN SHOW LOVE IT
The show isn't the same without Monty
@@m42037I agree!!
Even one of the best game shows was not immune to the Chevy Vega :P
The curtains worked for me now I'll keep this episode 4ever
Monty was scare to get a kiss from the twins c'mon well its 1970s
The two brothers, of course. They chose Door 2.
It's crazy to think my mom was only 7-8 years old during this time!
Us shall miss the host. RIP Monty Hall
thanks for posting
Yes this is from 1972.
BTW, this big deal would be worth $60K+ adjusted for inflation in 2017.. inflation was ravaging in the 1970s, especially after 1973... look at its future sister show The Price Is RIght!
Inflation is the worst now in 2024 than it has ever been in America thanks to Biden.
Definitely 1972 -- the Spiegel catalog at 15:35 is the Fall/Winter 1972 one.
I remember the Spiegel catalog. I really liked it!
The second deal is a predecessor to It's In The Bag.
Greg Palmer
RIP Monty Hall 1921-2017
Yup, 1972
17:11 is no zonk. I would take that all day long.
They had some really cool zonks on the 70s version.
That motorcycle might be worth something now. Certainly more than the Vega.
6:53 Wayne Brady copied that on his version of Let's Make a Deal.
You're exactly correct!
Monty was the best.
It’s too bad Jay Stewart suffered chronic back pain not long after this show was cancelled in the 1970’s. Understandable because he was already in his 50’s when this episode was aired.
And even more tragic is he was so despondent over his back pain and the suicide of his daughter, he committed suicide himself. Shot himself in the head and left a note and his last will and testament on his person. RIP Jay and Monte too.
What?? I'm 57 and my back isn't that bad lol
@jonstewart. 50s is very young.
@@lynettepalecek3141 back then it was far from young, but not old and decrepit. I’m 56 and just had two new knees installed.
@@jondstewartI'm 67 and I have 5 autoimmune diseases, my spine was fused from the t3 to the s1 which is the entire trunk part of the body when I was 17 years old, and I had knee surgery when I was 61 years old. I still think of someone in their 50s as not being old at all. I think that the 50s is young.
The stuff the host bought through the Deal was reused on Wayne Brady's version.
Wayne Brady is a copycat.
This is Episode 46 of The Syndicated Run- OAD: October 28, 1972
@ 20:59 you can hear the noise from the brothers because they got the big deal
You can expect someone to squeal or scream when Monty reveals that what they passed on was not the big deal and they claimed it.
15:40, that image on the TV is not as common as the one with Monty Hall pointing at LMAD logo.
? if that WW1 cycle w/sidecar 16:58 worth more than Vega today? + last deal where musician Bros jump for Monty, as he frantically backing away says GO, "kiss a girl, SOMEWHERE. hahahahaaaa" 22:30 like on the veranda?
The motorcycle from the Great War, if it still exists, is the most valuable item given away on this episode. Unlikely the Vega, the Guzzler or any of the appliances are still around.
He was a genius at this stuff
Late Monty Hall hosts early 1972.
No cars behind the big deal doors. Im shocked! Guess they used them all in the other deals and ran out.
It's random...there wasn't a car in every daytime episode.
@@tomservo56954I noticed that too.
$5100 for a 72 Impala , mint . LOL
Any more info of what Monty said at 6:38 by chance?
“She reminds me of the kibitzer at the bridge game who threw himself out of the window.”
I suppose that means the guy who gives unsolicited bad advice and then departs suddenly when that advice is taken.
I saw a zonkie donkey once
How long do you think the Indian Princess is going to stay with that Pink Bunny after they get the car?
I wonder if the couple who won the Chevrolet still have it.
Was it that guy's decision to wear that ridiculous pink bunny costume? Or someone else? And shave off those little mustaches guys!
No
I never been to hawaii
I swear, furnishings and appliances from the late 1960's to mid-1970's, I don't know how anybody ever found them even remotely attractive!
Bee hive hairdo. Think about it. 🙄
@jondstewart. You have poor taste.
@@lynettepalecek3141 actually, I take it back. We moved into a brand new tract home in 1973. Light green shag carpet, wood paneling in the living room, wallpaperred bathrooms, frosted shower doors, mustard yellow linoleum in the kitchen and counters to match, and beaded curtains.
Is it just me or did carol Merrill wear a wig that season
No, she did not wear a wig. She just got a perm.
I understand a guy getting excited, but jumping up and down and screaming like a girl, I don't get. Those twins were a little light on their feet!
"Don't waste your time responding. I have all of my UA-cam notifications turned off for a reason."
Really? Rhonda is the self-proclaimed "Queen" that doesn't appreciate the competition. Lol. Rhonda, actually your comment says more about YOU than some guy being excited about winning on a game show. YOU Rhonda are EXTREMELY insecure. Good luck...and I mean good luck.
I'm responding just because you said not to. Also because your comment is bad.
You really put the "less" in lesser.
I don’t get that a woman makes sexist and misogynistic remarks while referring to a man. Your ignorance and stupidity are on full display.
