Whoa! Two episodes in one day!! I figure that you've been waiting long enough, you deserve TWO videos today. What do you think about that date palm oasis? Baja is so beautiful!
Two episodes in one day?!?!?! WHAAAATTT??? I think that desert sun has finally gotten to you, Ryan! Great to see you back out there continuing this great adventure. The date palm oasis was beautiful! Reminds me of time I spent in El Centro, CA (the date palms, not the oasis). Thanks for bringing us along for the ride, again.
Thanks so much for two videos in one day, we needed them to complete our dinner, otherwise we were going to watch the first one twice! First day looked like a breeze, we were feeling your pain on the second day though. We thought we saw the Canuck with the dog here in La Paz a few times but could never wave him down. Now after watching the video we don't think it was him.
Ryan, I've been telling my wife and kids about how excited I am to start seeing your baja adventures. This morning they decided to join me in the living room and all 5 of us enjoyed your 2 newest episodes. THANK YOU for sharing your adventures. It keeps us going during MN winter.
I am going back to watch some of your older videos. First, its so cool to see John with a beard. Second, I can see how your friendship blossomed, from this day and lead to riding the Great Divide together. Thirdly, how you feel in love with Muira and here her pupper dog ways. Your inspiration to get other people out there is indelible.
Ryan.. You were born to inspire people to do the best they can in every moment. To do your best means you view life as a wonderful and glorious challenge while smiling thu it all. Thank your mom for me. :)
Absolutely Stunning...I hope you grabbed some dates!? They are an amazing food!! Canadian accent!?? Really?? Do we?? Lol 😉 Enjoying your videos with our Sunday morning coffee! Thanks so much. My other touring friends had troubles with mean dogs running around. She was actually bit which halted their ride for a month so she could heal. Just a heads up!
Discovered your channel when I bought a bike last month and just going through all your older stuff now. Can’t believe this is Mira’s origin story! Seeing her all of a sudden gave me chills :)
Baja is so unique. I only got to spend 3 weeks in the San Pedro Martir range and the National Park on a college hiking-climbing-natural resource field trip in the early 70's. Even for a Sonoran Desert teen, it was other worldly. And in your closing frames, you showed a glimpse of the mud. Rain and the mud killed off a German group a couple of years ago trying to do the Baja divide. There is a species of native palm trees in Arizona and Sonora.
They are the Bontrager Crivitz, I like the look of the swept back handlebars for comfort. The new 1120 has a straight bar and the Crivitz is not available anymore. I just picked up a Trek Marlin 8 for bike packing and touring and looking for a better handlebar than the current straight bar.
I am jealous! I freely admit it. January isnt exactly bike friendly here in Iceland. And here you go, ride through Baja in warm sunny days! Albeit with a great level of difficulty in the terrain. Have fun on your trips and collect memories, experiences and friends, that is all that matters. Happy riding Ryan!
Ryan,it shows what a small world we live in.When you come across someone who recognizes you from you tube. Thanks for two videos in one day,and ride safe.🚴✌🌍
Dude wrong bike. Since I bought my fatbike 2 years ago, my mountain bike was gathering dust in the garage and I ended up selling it. That was painful watching you ride struggling over soft sand and rocky rubble, my fatbike would cruise over that stuff on low tyre pressure. And on the good trails I pump the tyre pressure up, and so even though I’m on 5” wide tyres, their highly convex shape means on good trails I’m only riding on 1.5 to 2” of the tyre, much the same rolling resistance as a regular mountain bike, it is truly a win - win bike. Foresty Forest UA-camr has got desert trails riding sorted - on a fatbike.
Oh my goodness Ryan are your knees okay? That looked like it hurt. 🙈 your such an inspiration, no matter how cliche that sounds lol. Thank you so much for all your great content. I hope one day I get the honor to meet you on one of your adventures! Cant wait for more to come! Keep pushing.
Like your Javalina Buff....wear mine all the time. A lot of hike N' Bike....with all that weight it makes it a job.So great you met that guy with his dog...like you said...its a small world. Loving the trip...LOL
The riding totally looks tough AF! Tweety bird with a 8-ball shirt and a Nike hat🤯. I could happily survive on Mexican food. Thanks for sharing your adventurous life!
You’re spoiling us, two in a row, that was good on this stormy and rainy German afternoon! Thank you friend and good to be out in the wild with you again! Looking forward to more videos to come up soon 👍
Well, this was excellent timing. It’s snowing in the Boulder area, so not going for a hike today. Instead sitting on the couch with coffee and YT videos👍👏❤️😁
Hi Ryan, Thx 4 this great video!!! I love my wahoo as well :-) If you want to temporarily disable the beeping of the wahoo during the video recordings, you can do it very quick with two buttons. 1. Route (i think left) 2. Mute (i think middle) Gretings, Joe
That is so awesome! You two guys meeting at that place! I think it is just great! I wish I could someday travel like that! Thank you so much Ryan for sharing this!
That John dudes watch is amazing, mine only does 12 hours at a go but when you asked him when he started, he checked his watch and it does months, at least 3 months, I wont one of those watches.
I have those same tires on my e fatbike. they bite and corner well and I've rolled up and over 8 inch logs with them. you feel a wee bump when you do that though lol. awesome vid
Hi ryan! I found your channel as I was searching for tips on what to take for a bike tour and now I cant wait for another episode, I dont watch tv so this is for now my favourite tv or should I say youtube channel so far! greetings from slovakia!
YAY!! I'm so glad that you found my channel. It makes me happy that someone on the other side of the world watches my videos. Stay tuned for more and have a great day
Great stuff as always Ryan, beware those Baja chupacabras. How about bike details, tires etc.,you are a great boon to those planning to emulate and create their own adventures Love u brother enjoy Baja!
Holy Christmas, out today on my 20 mile ride, fighting the wind, then thinking, I need to head for the barn, then I thought about Vqn Duzer fighting thought deep sand in the Baja, jeez, I'm such a wus.
haha, you're not a wuss, I have those same thoughts every time it's WINDY!! haha. but when you're on a bike trip in the middle of nowhere, you can't exactly go home :)
WoooHooo👏👏 two videos..we miss you ,missing this amazing adventures you always bring to us...gracias ,Dios te bendiga.... No subistes a la palma para agarrar datiles 😜 😘....los patos pedorros😂
I always encounter the most interesting folks biking and invariably there ends up being a side connection. I've seen cats, snakes, parrots, lizards, hampsters and of course dog passengers. Always a good ice breaker.
Hey Ryan. Hope you are doing well, i see you keep falling (stopping) again and again while uphill, is it because of bike? (1120) or it was really that tough? Don’t you feel that if you would had hard tail suspension bike you could have climbed it without getting down of your bike? I am curious as I am interested in buying 1120. And waiting for your feedback thank you
This is so nice Ryan, thanks for sharing !! Good luck and have a real nice ride ! No crashies, no flaties, no ?? What is you complete mantra by the way ? Thank YOU !
Chupacabra hahahahahahaha. Viendo tus videos, gracias a la videoconferencia con Kofuzi. Tantas cosas que puedes ver en esta magnifica peninsula. Saludos Ryan
Hey Ryan, another great video! Can you explain, sometime, the navigation you use while in the middle of nowhere? Like at 4:22 when there is a fork in the road, how do you know which way to go? I'm assuming you're using a "Garmin" type GPS system, but sometimes even our car GPS system points out the wrong way. Maybe this road in the middle of nowhere is on Google maps? LOL
Baja Divide route was developed by Leal Wilcox and her friend whos name I cannot remember at the moment. the downloadable maps are here bajadivide.com/mapping/ and you can upload them to your device of choice. Lots of info on the website and if you remember from an earlier video Ryan had a consultation with Lael Wilcox prior to departure. Hope that helps.
If the base map on the device doesn't make it clear which way to go with a base map then you just keep watching the track that you generate real time and make sure it's going the same way as the track you have stored on the device.
Ryan, Spring water is (Primary Water). It is formed under enormous pressure below the mantle of the earth (5k feet deep) thru fissures. If it comes close to a volcano magma, it is a hot spring, if not, it is a cold spring. The earth is called the "Water Planet" for a reason. That name has very little to do with the surface water. which includes rain/snow, and ends up in the aquifers, (800 feet) is (secondary water). The name Water Planet has to do the fact that earth is constantly producing water... There is a reason that the sea/ocean levels have always risen. The sea level will always continue to rise for that very reason. All spring water is very mineral rich. As it surfaces from the mantle, it is innondated with minerals. The minerals are why soaking in a hot spring is so healing and why drinking cold spring water is so healing for the body. If the earth ever became so contaminated it was getting unsafe to Drink the Water, you would do well by having a natural spring on your property.
Whoa! Two episodes in one day!! I figure that you've been waiting long enough, you deserve TWO videos today. What do you think about that date palm oasis? Baja is so beautiful!
Two episodes in one day!!?, best Sunday ever!!! Thank you for the videos
Another episode? Don't mind if I do. Thx. Greetings from New Mexico.

Great adventuring, Ryan! Stay strong on those hills!
Thanks so much for two videos in one day, we needed them to complete our dinner, otherwise we were going to watch the first one twice! Just watched John and Mira depart your Great Divide trip, I’m here now for johns Origin Story ✊✌️
Haha! Yep, this is where it all began
Me too, 😂 cheers from Oz 🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻♀️
Soooo nice to see how you met John and Mira! ❤️
It’s rare to have records of how and where exactly one meets people who become good friends. 🙏🏼
Ryan, I've been telling my wife and kids about how excited I am to start seeing your baja adventures. This morning they decided to join me in the living room and all 5 of us enjoyed your 2 newest episodes. THANK YOU for sharing your adventures. It keeps us going during MN winter.
Yay!!! Give the whole family a hug from me
The motorcycle noises definitely help in the rough stuff
Max Redburn always!!! ;)
Whoa! This is the genesis of John and Mira!!!! ❤️
Riding with 40lb dog. Thats a workout. I stayed in that campsite. The town and mission are really cool there.
Beautiful campsite!! And yes, john is a very strong rider!
Ryan.. You were born to inspire people to do the best they can in every moment. To do your best means you view life as a wonderful and glorious challenge while smiling thu it all.
Thank your mom for me. :)
Thank you for this sweet message, I'll share this with my mom.
Two uploads in one! Look at you!!! Way to go!!! Living the dreams
Respect Ryan!! I’m still healing up from a trip Denver to Cedar Rapids in May and here you are Cranking!
Hope your body is ready when the weather gets warmer
Ryan Van Duzer Thanks!!
Absolutely Stunning...I hope you grabbed some dates!? They are an amazing food!! Canadian accent!?? Really?? Do we?? Lol 😉 Enjoying your videos with our Sunday morning coffee! Thanks so much. Discovered your channel when I bought a bike last month and just going through all your older stuff now. Can’t believe this is Mira’s origin story! Seeing her all of a sudden gave me chills :)
Yep! This is where it all began. Thanks for watching my videos! Happy trails on your new bike

Wow! It musta been cool to spend time here in the 70’s, bet it hasn’t changed much. And yes, you’ll see a little water in the coming episodes ;)
This video is the start of great things. I’ve been working with my dog on lengthening trips, and we are going to try an overnight trip soon. 🐶
Glad it was helpful!
Catching up on some of your older adventures. Which handlebars are you using? Thanks for the get videos .
They came stock with the 1120
They are the Bontrager Crivitz, I like the look of the swept back handlebars for comfort. The new 1120 has a straight bar and the Crivitz is not available anymore. I just picked up a Trek Marlin 8 for bike packing and touring and looking for a better handlebar than the current straight bar.
I watched your Great Divide videos first so now it's really cool to see the first meeting of John and Mira!
Looks hard. Keep being awesome!
What a wonderful experience. Great to know that it's a small world by the people you run in to, but also filled with so much beauty. Thanks Ryan!
I love how the world works sometimes;)
Your videos are full of wisdom and inspiration! Thank you!
Greetings from Germany!
Thanks my friend!
I'm happy to see you went back and that you went back with the 1120. 😎
You and me both!
It amazes me how watching someone else's adventures can make my day better, especially here on a cold, snow day in New York.
Well I'm glad that I could add a little color to your day. Cheers!
Hello my friend of the north!! I bet Iceland is a little dark and cold these days, stay strong my man;)
Mira 🥰
My new favorite dog!!
Ryan,it shows what a small world we live in.When you come across someone who recognizes you from you tube. Thanks for two videos in one day,and ride safe.🚴✌🌍
I love how the world works sometimes
Frijole time 🎉
Dude wrong bike.
Maybe someday I’ll ride a fat bike!
Great video!. thanks for your adventures.😀
Thanks Amelia!

Some of those "roads" look absolutely brutal. Well done!
They sure are, gives me nightmares :)
Ryan, you're doing a great job capturing the beauty of Baja! Thanks for letting me live vicariously thru your adventure!
It only gets more beautiful
Wonderful Ryan, keep it rolling
Loving this trip
It gets better and better!
Sleepless in Baja , When Ryan Met John and Mira…
Here’s to looking at you three , cheers!
The origin story!
The riding totally looks tough AF! Tweety bird with a 8-ball shirt and a Nike hat🤯. I could happily survive on Mexican food. Thanks for sharing your adventurous life!
Gangster Tweety! Thanks for tuning in!
You’re spoiling us, two in a row, that was good on this stormy and rainy German afternoon! Thank you friend and good to be out in the wild with you again! Looking forward to more videos to come up soon 👍

Yay for the wind in the right direction! Yay for technology! What? That was a short video lol. Ok well it felt short. I will go watch part 2.
It was shortish I guess, but at least I gave you two vids in one day!! ;)
Well, this was excellent timing. It’s snowing in the Boulder area, so not going for a hike today. Instead sitting on the couch with coffee and YT videos👍👏❤️😁
Sounds like my day. There's a cold rain falling in Missouri. No biking for me today.
Snow days are great for youtubing!
So enjoying the the new adventure, woke up this morning and was notified that you had new videos and well I let out a woohoo. Peace and love brother.
Wooohooooooo
Hi Ryan,
Thx 4 this great video!!!
I love my wahoo as well :-)
If you want to temporarily disable the beeping of the wahoo during the video recordings, you can do it very quick with two buttons.
1. Route (i think left)
2. Mute (i think middle)
Gretings, Joe
Ahh, that's a good idea, that beeping was getting annoying, haha!
That is so awesome! You two guys meeting at that place! I think it is just great! I wish I could someday travel like that! Thank you so much Ryan for sharing this!
Yeah, I love how the world works
That John dudes watch is amazing, mine only does 12 hours at a go but when you asked him when he started, he checked his watch and it does months, at least 3 months, I wont one of those watches.
I have those same tires on my e fatbike. they bite and corner well and I've rolled up and over 8 inch logs with them. you feel a wee bump when you do that though lol. awesome vid

Thanks for the intro to Mira on your IG. I love that pretty girl and following her.
Stay tuned, you’ll see a lot more of her in the next episodes
Been using these as a digital route guide. Great stuff Ryan, keep it up
Can’t believe you ran into another rider on the divide ! That’s amazing. It makes you look a little less crazy I think, but I might be wrong.
Haha!! I’m still half crazy
Oh no! Now I want to binge watch the whole serie.
You can binge when you're back from Kilimanjaro
Yeah suddenly it's a great day cause Ryan is here , thank you sir! Yep perfect terrain for fatbike tho , just my two cents! 😎👍
Yay!! Glad you’re psyched to watch the videos, many more to come.
Beautiful landscape. The full moon made it look like daytime. Do you have to watch out for scorpions, snakes Etc?
I think there are scorpions out there, but I haven't seen any. Not too many snakes either
Hi ryan! I found your channel as I was searching for tips on what to take for a bike tour and now I cant wait for another episode, I dont watch tv so this is for now my favourite tv or should I say youtube channel so far! greetings from slovakia!

Same setup as last time, but this time I have a tent;)
Holy Christmas, out today on my 20 mile ride, fighting the wind, then thinking, I need to head for the barn, then I thought about Vqn Duzer fighting thought deep sand in the Baja, jeez, I'm such a wus.
haha, you're not a wuss, I have those same thoughts every time it's WINDY!! haha. but when you're on a bike trip in the middle of nowhere, you can't exactly go home :)
That mission is so awesome! It's a miracle it's been so well-preserved. Have to find out what those "clay?" faces are...
I agree, it’s pretty special
You're the man Duzer!!!
Thanks gene!
2 videos at once, love it! Thank you for your adventures :)
Thank you for watching them
A Duzer video on my birthday. Thank you.
Yay!!! Happy birthday buddy! I wish you many happy rides and yummy cake;)
Does the vroom vroom sounds help conquer hills? If so I'm gonna make them when I'm riding
So cool to see someone bike packing with a dog. @Ryan Van Duzer how heavy is your bike?
My bike is not as heavy as the dog bike, ha! Im not exactly sure how heavy...never weighed it
Good one
Thanks!!
Mira la Perra is awesome:)
she's the best!
WoooHooo👏👏 two videos..we miss you ,missing this amazing adventures you always bring to us...gracias ,Dios te bendiga....
No subistes a la palma para agarrar datiles 😜
😘....los patos pedorros😂
Hola amiga!! Gracias por ver a mis videos;) tu me haces feliz con tus comentarios;)
Awesome!
I had that same cartoon memory on Saturday mornings kind of funny you'd bring that up LOL I hadn't thought of that and many many calendar years
Yeah!! The good ol days
How about a gear update which you didn’t bring last time and what you are bringing this time including tire patches?
I might do that after I edit the entire series. Gear list is essential the same as last time...just a different seat ;)
Would you ever consider a similar ride on the Priority 600 with maybe some wider/knobby tires?
Nice adventure as always. Is that the new bike from reeb or BEER?
No, this is the trek 1120
I always encounter the most interesting folks biking and invariably there ends up being a side connection. I've seen cats, snakes, parrots, lizards, hampsters and of course dog passengers. Always a good ice breaker.
Lizards??? That’s awesome
Come on you can do it Ryan 💪💪💪
Lots of love from UK 👊
Thanks!! Many more to come
And waiting for your feedback thank you
It’s just really hard, I don’t think the bike would help, the 1120 is solid
Cartoons of the 70's were the best. My favourite was Scooby Doo.
Me too!!
This is so nice Ryan, thanks for sharing !! Good luck and have a real nice ride ! No crashies, no flaties, no ?? What is you complete mantra by the way ? Thank YOU !
Whammies!!!!
I would love to ride that trail !What are the canteens on the bike?
Thank you
They are Kleen Kanteen brand
Chupacabra hahahahahahaha. Viendo tus videos, gracias a la videoconferencia con Kofuzi. Tantas cosas que puedes ver en esta magnifica peninsula. Saludos Ryan
the oasis camp - is that a DIY camp no services or a pay camp? Bikes get the best spots?
Pretty much all sites are free in Baja!
I love this video very inspiring
Thanks!!
Those ducks look like coots👍🏻
I’ve been educated;) I’ll never get it wrong again
Ryan Van Duzer 😂👍🏻I was just surprised to see them there,we have them in the UK as well.
Hi sir, did you have different / better sadle than in part 1?
Need a fat bike with some 4-5" wide riees for that sand
I like your name, Mr. Butt :)
Hey Ryan, another great video! Can you explain, sometime, the navigation you use while in the middle of nowhere? Like at 4:22 when there is a fork in the road, how do you know which way to go? The GPS unit will start beeping if you go more than a small distance off the correct route
Hello!! I have the Baja divide route downloaded to my gps device, and it’s very accurate.
Dang, that is a tough ride. Thanks for sharing ;
It’s tough, but I knew what I was getting myself into ;)
Watching you got me thinking of a big tour. I'll find some gravel somewhere. Farting ducks? Hee hee!
I hope you make it happen! Lemme know if you have any questions!
As a suggestion look up Dexter Britian for music to add to your videos
Glad you went back to Bah ha ha ha .
Ba ha ha ha ha!! I like that
Ole ole ole ole... :)
Ole!!

The ducks must have eaten your beans, LOL
Haha!! This made me laugh out loud
Did you stay at Casa de Biciclista in San Ignacio?
No, the campground next to the water.
