In my case, the usb devices would be detected and then disconnected automatically.So I checked the south bridge and north bridge on my motherboard and both were extremely hot to the touch (like a hot cup of tea).South bridge is directly connected to the USB ports.I remembered that I had cleaned my motherboard by removing all components including the heatsinks of north and south bridge.So i removed the heatsinks and reseated them.and finally got a cpu fan and positioned it directly over the heat sink of the north and south bridge.No problems after that.Extreme heat makes components function in an erratic way. Try this first.

आपने सब कुछ ठीक बताया सिवाय एक. जिसे आप डायोड केह रहे हैं वो ट्रान्सिस्टर हैं और जब तक आपको उस्का बेस कौनसा हैं ये मालूम नहीं तब तक आप के बतायें हुये तारिके से टेस्ट नाही कर सकते हो. अलग अलग ट्रान्सिस्टर के बेस अलग अलग होते हैं. ये जरुरी नहीं कि बीच वाली पिन ही बेस हो. और अलग अलग कंपनी अपने हिसाब से ट्रान्सिस्टर चुन्न्ती हैं.

sir mers smps ke ander fuse uda hua hai, jab main fuse ko wire se direct kerta hu to bahut tez sparking hoti hai, aur fuse ke dono taraf 240 volt dikha rha hai, fuse pe sorting nahi honi chahiye, iska kya reason ho sakta hai

Mera circuit breaker trip hota hai computer on kartey hi. SMPS ka issue hai definitely ya motherboard bhi cause ho sakta hai? Abhi koi troubleshooting nahin shuru kiya hai.

Bhaiyya mere pass meanwell power supply ka mosfet kharaab ho gaya hai 60R290p jo market me nahi mil raha uski jagah par irf840 laga sakte hain data sheet same hai.

My smps dead as up u told I did test MOSFET ,capeciter and register all looking good power cable also working but it's dead I tested power wire in side of smps that's fine too ,fuse also good

At the secondary.... Multimeter give me continuity beep at across all voltage rails (12 v, 5v, 3.3v) with respect to ground.. Is this a normal behaviour while checking output rails of smps

If primary rectifier diode is short check and replace below: ONLY primary sections components listed below.
Check all rectifier diodes. (Replace all if possible)
Check MOFET (2N80)
Check C945 (Near opto coupler)
Check IN4148
Check 100 ohm resistor
Check 10 ohm resistor near MOSFET
I replaced all the above components and my SMPS is working fine.

Many Thanks for this amazing video.
I have an old smps and recently it has started to fail after about an 1.30 hour working. It puts the system to restart but system is never able to go past the boot screen and gets restarted again. This process continues until I turn off the main power supply.
The smps fan keeps spinning during this. I'm not a professional but I guess that some element gets heated after 1.30 hour's working and fails, thus causing the system to restart again and again.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

@Sarabjit Singh I have the same problem. What did you do finally and is the problem resolved? My screen goes automatically off, but all the fans and led are on. System is frozen. Then I restart and it goes of while booting into windows. But next day it will start good and then goes off around 1 hour.
