We got Thunder spell (Lightning Ball) tome for now, maybe next would be Ice spell (Ice Spear) or Fire spell (Flame Breath). I can't imagine Poison magic spell.

Also, can just use the Voidplume Pinions from the angels during the event, to turn in for Zariman standing, and buy it that way, I believe. Which is way better than RNG pack.

I like that this weapon requires a lot of stuff to make it powerful, but the moment you achieve it, you have a red crit, CC-able, energy-giving weapon with infinite ammo, no reload, and auto-fire.
I'm hoping we can get more like this tbh

The way I see it, they gave us a third and fourth arcane slot that also does an unusually generous amount of bonus damage.
Now u made me remember back in my days when ember had the ability to multiply fire DMG and double buff mods, it was op but no one even gave it a try despite my attempts at doing publicity but it was so underrated that DE decided to rework her kit to maker in my opinion worse
I would be careful with crafting orange shards, as far as I know they currently give Final Crit Chance but are supposed to give modded crit chance so they might not be as good as they seem to be.
DE already changed topaz shards. They currently give modded crit.
Honestly I feel like the Grimoire was a missed opportunity to have augment mods for the main and alternate attack that change the spells/attacks you can do with it. Like hey lets have a mod that lets me shoot fireballs or create a wall of fire at a location or that has a alternate attack that summons lighting bolts down randomly within a certain area around me that cause small explosions that proc electricity. Or create a blast of void wind that stuns enemies.
So much that could have been done with it. Because it is a really cool weapon type and I don't want it to just be a gimmick weapon we never see anything done with.
tbh it sounds to me more like a room for more grimoire types than augument mods specificallly.
I prefer the unique tome mods being used for buffs and debuffs, which are much rarer and more useful for massive build diversity. New grimoires should focus on different spell mechanics. Although I wouldn't mind a canticle that adds void damage buffs to players on kill.

If u a Harrow, Cascadia Overcharge is a fantastic Arcane for the Grimoire. Increased Secondary crit chance when u got overshields.
Do higher crit tiers print additional !s after the first?

For me any energy regen alone makes it better than any singular weapon I can obtain.
I'm running a Mesa Gambit fire rate build. Absolutely melts everything. I had to make my energy black so I could see anything though. otherwise, the screen is just white. Wraith Furax with Amalgam Bodycount, Arcane Velocity, the new Radiation and fire rate mod, and a couple of others.
Oh and I don't have any shards yet.
They need to bring back world on fire.
I got this exact same set up. However i prefer mirage and Jahu canticle instead. But is redundant on fireblast ember. Also i dont feel like creeping bullseye is the best option for the mod. Not a whole lot of crit coming out of the grimoire
Just a note: I love the Grimoire and think the dmg is fine for all the other stuff it does, BUT the offical post from [DE] Taylor of known issues lists Multishot not working on Grimoires (as well as the current dual wield glaive + secondary bugs) as a known issue requiring code changes to fix. So the books could end up getting better.

Yo potato, I don't know how to break it to you but between filming this and when you posted it, they uh, nerfed Topaz Shards. They're no longer final crit so you won't be getting red crits, you'll be at 110% final critical chance down from 310%.

Amber archon shards have already been nerfed, right? They were temporarily a final crit chance bonus like arcane avenger, so 5 of them was a static final +250% final crit chance. But now they work like crit chance mods, meaning with all 5 of them it's only slightly more of an increase than creeping bullseye so this build can no longer get red crits. Is that right?
Well, not a final crit chance bonus, additive to the base crit stat. But you got it otherwise

i dont understand how he gets to red crits... i have the same build, even have 275%crit chance booster with my shards and my grimoire at best orange crits... am i missing something or what is going on ? As far as i understand this built the only thing boosting crit chance is teh sarchon shards right ? im confused

For Ember I want to perfect a build that uses Precision Intensify. Not quite there with it yet.
rip all that bonus casting speed for 5 different frames to make those shards for a very specific character based book build.
Nourish instead of Roar!, Expel Mod instead of Xata Invocation!, Primed Sure Footed instead of Handspring!, Arcane Velocity instead of Arcane Blessing!.
Why Nourish? = Roar is Limited to a specific Threshold! With Nourish you can get higher with the damage!

I main wisp, built for staying airborne and invisibile as well as strength an range (phantom wisp) and I built my book for viral and fire rate so I just fly around providing airstrikes of pestilence 😂😂😂😂
I use Nataruk with Heat+Viral, and use Embers 4th and third and nothing survives in Deimos

It ain't Volt you want for lightning sorcery. Gyre's new augment bathes the entire screen in Hydrolyst nonsense when paired with this book.
So question, if you put gas on the grimoire do the procs count as hits for the tome mods that require hits?
You know, it's genuinely hard to tell because the ball is already six meters and hits everything in a large radius. Considering how slowly the invocations tick up it's probably direct damage from the ball though.
Honestly I took a build where the goal is just the alt fire for energy and it's a BLESSING for energy hungry frames like rhino with certain set ups or dagath

Cross save finally! I played through New War earlier and man, it's nice to be back. These videos are going to be real proper advice again soon, not just keeping my toes in the pond, which I find very exciting! This one made me think of an old friend from my Xbone days who loved Ember even when she was kinda crummy. Is she decent these days?
I'm finding things a little overwhelming, with so much new stuff to learn and all my old stuff to refamiliarize myself with. It's not a bad problem to have, though! Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go figure out what I need to do to build a Necramech...
TBH, missed potential with the Grimoire not changing element depending on specific colors.. would make for it to be an even better weapon
Grimoire has infinite clip size and ammo I just built a shit ton of fire rate and prioritized multiple hits and it's slapping good
Too use to seeing Ember being used for nuking, this is a really cool shakeup and I love seeing that lean into the support role. The Grimoire itself too looks real nice although a bit flashy, can't wait to get my hands on it. Another great video.
I run her 4th and 1st as support usage while I have my 2nd replaced with shooting gallery for survival against most factions otherwise, silence to cancel out the eximus stuff

not gotten on with ember since world on fire was removed, the need to constantly spam the ult and de-heat AoE to not drain energy fron the damage reduction became a major pain. may take another look if the tome allows energy regen through toggles (plus shard benefits). used to e my go-to frame a long long time ago (annoyingly DE nerfed ember just to give frames like hildryn and a couple of others direct damage abilities that far out-stripped the capability of world in fire)

As a concept, I love the idea of a weapon that supports caster warframes, because caster warframes are my favourite.
But I was a little disappointed with the fact that everything on the Grimoire requires it to kill enemies or hit a lot of enemies. When I tried it with my Gyre, Gyre kept instakilling all the enemies in the room before the Grimoire could get any of its value.
Had the exilus effects been more general buffs instead of on-kill, and the alt-fire been easier to hit, I think this could have easily been one of my favourite weapons added to the game.
Wait, really? I'm using it on my Gyre and she's getting immense mileage out of it. What kind of build are you running on both, and what content? On Steel Path it's the Grimoire that sets up her insane damage with the 3+4 augment combo, with the strength invocation boosting both, and the book itself just prints red crits and statuses (with Rad, another dualstat combo, electric, and Encumber, and Galvanized Shot for damage) on everything that moves.
If you're below SP it makes more sense for the lightning storm to fry everything in your radius, but what kind of cracked-up build would you need to be outkilling your spellbook on Steel Path? I have 199 strength plus GP plus the strength invocation, and it's the book that basically paints targets for Rotorswell.
@@FelisImpurrator with pillage and full armour strip I feel like even in base steel path most fodder enemies die in one hit.
But it's true that I've yet to bring it to higher steel path so maybe there's more to it then.
Still,, idk... I would have liked something that passively supplemented a caster playstyle. Specifically I'm not too big of a fan of the alt-fire. It's slow and awkward to hit.
@@lj_aderyn Well, it's hitting armor stripped enemies. They'll die instantly to an average weapon, let alone to red crit lightning bolts.
Also, the radiation secondary mod is your friend for charging, or Primed Fulmination to ensure the altfire is enormous.

@@lj_aderyn I just threw on the shards I could yank out of other frames for Gyre (two duration, one max energy, one health regen to fight toxin, and cast speed I think). Arcane Aegis and Avenger. Could do anything else in place of avenger but I like the weapon agnostic extra dip into crit.
Growing Power, PCon, Blind Rage, Streamline to make sure I could actually cast things in an emergency, Archon Stretch, Augur Reach, Adaptation, PRedirection for a lazy shield tank. Augment is the last slot of course. Exilus I threw Amar's Anguish into because I like it on Hespar, but PSF would be great too if I could be assed to forma again.
I helminthed on Breach over 1, and another build does have Pillage but it may really honestly be overkill at this point.
I put on Aeolak for the Zariman rep thing on Gyre, but honestly I'm not sure, the thing is just kind of falling behind my grimoire. Alternox exists, but it still isn't great and the Grimoire is just Alternox but good. Maybe Gotva or an Incarnon for harder content like netracells, but it feels a bit overkill right now.
Grimoire uses Galvanized Diffusion and Shot. And Secondary Encumber. It's an uber CC tool AND a way to stack obscene damage values. The damage is frontloaded onto contact so I prefer a huge stacking damage buff on direct hits to a flat 220% on the AOE too... And the alt feels like it gets the galvaCO buff on the entire orb somehow, so hey, maybe it has the multiplicative CO bug? Damage is damage. Yoink.
Rest is double crit mods, viral (or blast or gas for type coverage plus preserving Electric procs for area damage, although there's an argument for single dualstat corrosive sometimes), Accelerated Isotope (it's fire rate AND uncombined rad, good stuff), then Invocation and Canticle.
I use Vome. You don't need Xata, Netra, or Ris with augmented Gyre. Xata's just safe so it's good for lower end content, but if you can cast 3 with the Vome proc you get a ton back anyway. I use Jahu Canticle for armored enemies - running Unairu for no knockback, but may change to Naramon for Hespar since the Jahu keeps everything softened anyway. Honestly? Every canticle is good depending on usage. For non-Deimos infested you could use Lohk for kill speed (toxin does still suck), for general comfort you could throw on Khra for orbs, and Fass for survivability. They're just all useful and I can't say one is strictly superior.

you can do this with any warframe really with null star subsume using neutron star augment which is a cheap and fast fire spreading nuke ability

Harrow hitting things with the holy book sounds hilarious. Sucks that reload speed is completely dumpstered on it though. Still, you do get to redcrit everything that moves...
unfortunately, DE patched the shards, they now provide 50%(75%) multiplicative Crit rate, so they add to pistol gambit and other crit mods, rather then to the base value of the weapon.

The shards have been 'fixed' in a recent hotfix so red crit is no longer possible
