We just had a water clinic at our local MR group and no one showed us this method. What a great tutorial. I'm going to use this for the streams on my layout. Thanks.
Greetings from the ‘Borderlands’. It’s good to see you active and so involved. You are looking so healthy and relaxed whatever you’re doing keep doing it!. Do you realise what you have created? How many of your followers are trying to work out how they can create a two scale layout? It very naughty but sooo nice.
Morning Geoff just came across your channel for the first time, man what great work and the first time seeing someone use UV resin what a great idea and I think this is a game change for model railway modelling, Thanks for sharing :) Cheers Mark
Hi Mark, thanks very much for your kind words and welcome to the channel. It certainly does seem to be a game changer, I’ll keep you all posted on how it works out over time! All the best! Geoff
Nice one Geoff. That resin is a game changer for sure. I love your videos and can't wait for the next one. I'm an N gague modeller but your oo gague is absolutely fascinating. Im loving the progress. Keep up the great work. Have a great Christmas. Thank you so much. 😀👍👍🚂🚂
Hi Simon thanks so much for your comment and kind words. It’s certainly a little mind blowing going between the two scales but I’m enjoying it so far. All the best, Geoff
Hi Geoff, super magical water scenes. My understanding of Resin is that it hardens quickly and over a period of time, it can get brittle, depending on the resin. But that is really only under UV, ie place with Windows, bedroom etc. but if lights are artificial , shouldn’t be too much of a problem. But who knows. I think it looks pretty cool. And less wasteful of time. Great job. 👏 and merry Christmas to you, 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks very much Paul! I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated on how this resin works out. It seems to be used mainly for jewellery, so much thinner, but like you say time will tell! All the best for the New Year! Geoff
Finally, I got to catch up with your content goeff love the oo gauge, considering it is only about a foot wide your Detailing brings it all together. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards, Gazclass58.
Thanks so much for your kind words Gary! I’ve managed to make some more progress over Christmas so hopefully there will be another update soon! All the best! Geoff
Hello Geoff The scenics you have done there are absolutely brilliant! The water ripple effect is really, really, good and the view through the bridge looks fantastic, very effective a real "babbling brook" as it were. I will have to have a look at that Resin stuff. Many thanks
A great update Geoff it’s really looking good the stream and river look very realistic looking forward to seeing the next update season greetings to you all the best Duncan
Looking very nice Geoff. I’m debating a small stream on my new layout so the resin you used will be of interest. With your Dapol masts, it’s good you’ve added the wires too. A detail pretty much everyone leaves out are the feed and return wires that go on the outsides of the masts. Have you considered adding those to finish them off? Some thin black thread should work well
Found your channel by accident, but what a find…. I will check out your back catalogue of videos. Not many people model winter layouts. I was wondering how do you keep it clean and stop it from becoming grubby once it is finished?. Do you have any tricks up your sleeve to enlighten us with in the future on this subject. Keep up the interesting videos.
Thanks very much John! I came across it completely by chance when looking at videos on winter scenes. It seems to be a popular choice for war gamers so hopefully it will last! Wishing you all the best for the new year! Cheers Geoff
Genius, fabulous work. This UV cure resin looks the absolute business because, as you point out, the other methods are a pain in the nether regions. Really looking forward to the next instalments. Safe travels, and have a wonderful Christmas.
Those are Japanese characters: レジン液 = resin liquid. The first three katakana characters are visually distinct. You'll easily be able to differentiate Japanese from Chinese within literally minutes of looking up "hiragana and katakana alphabets" and starting to recognize their simplified shapes, versus the more complex characters they share with Chinese. N-gauge modeling is quite popular in Japan, and loads of their quality hobby products are popular worldwide, Tamiya weathering powders being the most obvious example.

Thanks very much Andy! All the best for the New Year! Cheers Geoff

Hi Geoff really interested in using the UV resin. 10 months on are you still pleased with the result? Great video.
Absolutely! It’s still looking really good, just remember lots of thin layers so the UV light can cure it properly! Cheers Geoff
@ Many thanks

Looking great!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
