“I was actually sued by my sisters,” Kathy clarifies. “I'd like to really make this clear: I never sued anyone, I never would. And I never left the band. I did a solo project and I was asked to leave the band. I was sued so that I couldn't perform as or from Sister Sledge, and that was frustrating to me. I like singing with a group! I'm not fighting my sisters, but I had to fight for the right to sing.
I Love me some Sister Sledge… We are family was a very good Album. I remember the episode that they played in The Jefferson .
"Love Don't Yo Go Through No Changes On Me" was from the "Circle Of Love" album. Really one of the best (and most under rated) albums of the '70's (I STILL play it)! Had the pleasure of meeting them back in '79! Loved them all!
That album put them on the map while they were still singing on the musical game show “Musical Chairs” with Adam Wade.

I appreciate you doing this video on my all time favorite ladies. There were some glaring errors and mis-information, but I won't go into all of that. But when you showed pics of each sister the 2nd time, you showed a pic of Joni instead of Debbie. So the pictures went "Joni, Joni, Kim & Kathy". That was not a picture of their father Edwin Sledge. It was a picture of his dancing partner Fred Davis. Also, the group Chic is pronounced "sheek". There were other things, but I still love that you took the time to feature Sister Sledge.

I loved Sister Sledge. My favorite girl group in the day. Serious crush on Kathy. They were close knit so it's too bad they let stuff come between them. The others were jealous of Kathy and they never reconciled. Kathy hasn't toured with them in years.
I’m Kim’s daughter, we just spent the holidays with each other, like we do most holidays. I’ll prob grab a coffee with my Aunt Kathy tomorrow. Rumors like this definitely get us down sometimes but I was just telling my mom today you can allow people to believe what they want, it’s their right, as long as you know what’s true and what’s true is we love each other and enjoy being together ❤️❤️
Sister Sledge will always be the 4 sisters , without that it's just people traveling around singing sledge songs.
