hi yanko, your collection is pretty cool . I wonder how did you find the 5 litas Lithuanian one and the 5000 kronur from Iceland? did you bought them? or swap. let me know if you are interested in swapping banknotes. also the ones you are looking for. .. thanks for sharing
Hi, and thanks! The 5 litas I bought online in Bulgaria looong time ago - it wasnt in good quality, but I was searching to complete my Lithuanian set, since during my first trip to Lithuania in 2012 they were already replaced by coin. Later I was looking to replace it with a better banknote and realised how rare they are! But I'm prouder of my 200 litas - piece of art! The 5000 kronur I took from Iceland, but I live in trade city with many money exchange offices, where it can be easily found (or it used to be before covid - recently I try finding Mexican pesos which is not really exotic currency, and I couldn't!) I've never did banknote swap before - how does it work?
@@Yanko27 , if you go to Facebook there is many banknotes forums. if you send pm to my FB profile Is eber tapia peña. I can show you the ones I have to swap. thanks.
Saludos cordiales desde Pereira Colombia. Te felicito de corazón tienes una muy hermosa colección. Me encantaría tenerla acá en mi país para compartirla con los niños de mi región para que aprendan por medio de tus billetes la historia y cultura de otros países.
Thank you! Just don't forget that those are not "wasted" money, as they are actual money that you can use if you are really in trouble. At least this is what I'm telling myself:)
I like to think how much money I've invested - most of these I can take to the local exchange office and get spendable cash right away;) But the answer is - a lot :D
Yes - but they are in my Asian album:) It's basically complete, but I order new banknotes all the time - once I receive the latest ones, I'll film it and upload it here too.
I have a few questions, How you got so many, Since when did you start collecting and what would be the cost of the collection you made. Anyways, a really nice video. Regds, Frederick Frankfurt GMbh.
I was 6 or 7 years old, having my haircut done, when I noticed on the mirror extremely beautiful, yet very circulated foreign banknote. It was love from first sight, I told my father, he told the hairdresser, and I got my first banknote - 1000 Turkish lira from the '90s:) As a kid a was receiving my first banknotes as presents from different people (I remeber every single one of them!), then I started travelling myself and began adding low value bankotes (my limit was 15 BGN - app. 8 EUR). Back then I started buying coins online (the banknotes were too expensive), but once I graduated and started receiving sallary - I moved to the bankote world. Then started expanding the limit, reaching and surpassing the value of 50 euro/banknote, and seaching and buying the missing pieces for reasonable prise (cuz you can buy everything right away, but it will cost you incane ammount of money!). And when the first album came and I saw them organised - that was it - there was no going back anymore:) For this album only the exchange value would be app. 4500-5000 Euro I think, but it could potentially get 10% more if sold (these are common banknotes mostly, still in circulation, not in UNC - hard to sale with big profit).I was 6 or 7 years old, having my haircut done, when I noticed on the mirror extremely beautiful, yet very circulated foreign banknote. Well I've been to every country in Europe except for Andorra - but by the time I started travelling many countries were already using euro, so I had to start searching for banknotes online, in a small shops all over the world, and by asking everyone I met "Hey, btw - I collect - banknotes. Do you have any?". Oh, for the main currencies I sometimes go to the nearby currency exchange office, like today - for C$50 and UAE 100 dirhams:)
It's Leuchtturm for 300 banknotes. Pretty cool for display and holding banknotes, but if you want to rearange something - prepare for a lot of work:) Standart price is 35 euro, but be careful - once you get an album, your hobby might goes out of control:)
What country is 0:18 & 1:56 ? I have a good start to my collection and would like to have these. Banknote collection is expensive but I love to see the beautiful designs and cultures on every country's banknotes. Thank you.
These are from Armenia - the new serries that are coming now, and the old one, still in circulation, except the 50, 100 and 500 (coins nowadays:). To collect banknotes is not necessary expensive - I'm looking at it as an investment, because you always keep your money - literally:)
This one is Leuchtturm1917 - a German company that sometimes sells it in other places with different names - for example in the UK is called "Lighthouse":) I have 7 of them, the standartd price is 35 EUR, but one I bought on sale for 25. Just have in mind that rearanging your collection takes a lot of time if your album is full:)

Ah, well - most people wouldn't like it slow:) Personally I when I watch a collection which is taking too much time - I just speed up the video and simply pause it here and there, wherever I'm interested. I was thinking about explaning some cool facts about the banknotes and how I got them, but I'm not sure that someone cares + which language to use... But anyway - this is preliminary preview - the complete collection is not done yet. I add and replace banknotes all the time, and I still need the Faroe islands set ;(
This is one of the best European collections I’ve ever seen!
