The funny thing about 80s music was: Whenever a new Synthesizer from Roland, Korg, Yamaha etc appeared , with some "never heard electronic sound" , they started to compose a complete song around this sound preset, because it was so new and innovative and sounded so futuristic. Today the limitations are not the sounds (you could compose all of those 80 songs on an android smartphone) but the musical abilities and loss of creativity due to endless possibilities

@@3DPeter That's no barometer of a band's success. Often good artists don't get the success they deserve but that doesn't mean their talent is lacking. MT were popular in most countries and hands down the most successful musical act of Germany, just not in the US and England. US was dominated by the rock music, while New wave ruled in the UK. MT were europop and had legit success in European countries.
