In 2007, on his song 'It's Okay' The Game dissed Jay-Z for rapping at the age of 38!
How the turned have tables 👀
Dissing age is never a good idea, you won't believe how quick you ll find yourself in the same spot.
Agreed
It's got dudes valuing their youth like women value their looks. And once you're not considered young anymore, people will wonder what else you ever done!
Facts
Choices are get old or die young....I'll take getting old 💪
I just wish hip hop treated it’s statesmen better, I feel like most rappers age like fine wine as a matter of fact they are more refined with experience and wisdom so they have a lot to say and I think they should be heard
A lot of rappers used to talk down on older ppl rapping back then.. they all still rap 😅
Yea Jim Jones, Game etc..They're all what they rapped they wouldn't be in their 40s 😂😂😂. Life is poetic.
@@jd87926 That cycle will never end 😅
That's because they have handlers and contracts they don't even read just sign
Eminem done it too
It’s really a young man’s game because a lot of rap is immature
The worst part about him still rapping at 44 is that no one knows he’s still rapping at 44
He's still waiting for Eminem to respond to his cringey diss.

"Timeless, so age don't count in the booth, when your flow stays submerged in the fountain of youth" - Rakim
Jay isn't Rakim neither...👀 Jay Z flow been out dated long ago anyways
Oh God
I don’t think it was a comparison my man, and Jay sounds completely different from how he did in the past. Things change, except your mindset it would seem 😂
Love that by Rakim, The game need to hear that❤🎉🎉🎉
"Classic"
It’s crazy how the game actually looked 38 as a 26 year old.
Facts
Alcohol fucks up the appearance rapidly.
It always makes me laugh when young people brag about being young as if they're somehow immune to the human experience of aging.
🤣👍
It’s more of a if I don’t do anything dumb. You’ll be dead soon of being old and I’ll still be here type of diss
@SoCal_Ryder
Not really cuz he was just like "dude you're old and still rapping, grow up"
Completely ignoring the fact he's been rapping the whole time... his career, meaning he has way more time than him....
While now still rapping years later fulfilling what he was dissing, hence clown behavior 🤡
Someone definitely said this before or you must be a genius
I’m 36 and work a very physical job…A LOT of the guys I work with are early 20’s and they are extremely ignorant to that shit…gotta remind them every now and then that I may not be the fastest all the time but I have knowledge and can run circles around them any day of the week 😂
Jay Z turned his raps into a billion Game 44 hopping in beefs trying to stay relevant..

@@OfficialDemego How did 50 make the members of GUnit broke? Also, isn't the Game having money issues? He tried to dodge a lawsuit by putting everything in Wack100 name but that woman isn't letting it go. I bet that is 50's fault too. lmao
@@jr5296 Eminem and Dre never turned down 50 for a project. 50 didn’t do the same for G Unit members. In fact, he took away from their endorsement deals. Game made tons of money off the majors as well as an independent artist. Remember SMS audio? 50 filed bankruptcy for that despite having money as well. 90% of the time the media calls a celebrity broke, it’s really just a headline to get views
@@OfficialDemego Dre stopped 50 from dissing Nas, Jay and Camron in Back Down song. Is that considered a project? We don't know what else he turned down that involved 50. A lot of rappers back in the day, when rap was a newer genre of music, came out with their first album around 18-21 and had this weird belief that once you hit 30, you shouldn’t be rapping anymore because it was a young man’s game.
@@James-pl5uc it is a young man's game. They all were in the streets back then. A lot of murders with no technology to help catch them until now
I have never understood youngsters making fun of older folks, when they're getting older themselves
Exactly. The older folks leave the world leaving them behind as the old people
Getting old and still being able to rap is an accomplishment
It is. It was definitely wrong for Game to come out with that lyric. How are you going to talk about someone being in their 30s rapping but you’re past that age. It doesn’t matter the age. At least they’re still alive, have lots of fans and can still make good music. That’s what’s the most important.
🤡
No its not. Rapping is not that difficult. Its just storytelling. If you can't use simple words to write a sentence, you are indeed lost
It’s the fact he said in his song to Jay Z he said he 38 and he still rapping and now The Game 44 and he still rapping 💀
Anyone can rap at any age that doesn't mean it's good though😂😂
A lot of rappers have done this when they were younger. Eminem clowned Benzino for rapping in his 40s and now Em just released an album and he’s around 50.
He should have just clowned Benzino for rapping period and that was enough 😂
not the same really. Em was saying ur 40s trying to still be a rapper when he was never one to begin with lol. know what your talking about please lol
He misspoke, he meant still trying to rap😂😂😂
Yeah but Eminem is a rap god. He gets a pass on everything

That's why you never bring age into it... we all get there!😂😅😢
Age shaming is stupid because everyday you get closer to the age of the older person you dissing. You will eventually eat your own words
The game never seemed too bright
He actually is but he just gets ahead of himself quite often and winds up eating his words
Not at all. He did seem very gameless tho!!

@@Michael-fb6ve Facts!💪🏾💯
Naw elders have to show respect to get respect too. Too many older people pop that “I’m older than you so you should automatically respect me” bullshit.
You should respect your elders unless they disrespect you. And even if they do, you don't come at them with the same smoke you would someone younger. So, in a way, you're still showing them respect no matter what.
@@jaysteele6356 no. Elders always get respect it's theirs to lose. It goes like that with everybody but elders get more respect like you give up your chair for them you help them carry stuff you go out of your way for them
Rakim, Eminem, Pete Rock and Common all recently released pure 🔥 for their age. If you’re good enough, you’re old enough.
Right on
Nas & Premier, El da Sensei, Big Daddy Kane, Krs, you name it.. Old heads still going strong.
I had no idea there was an age limit to making music! Killer Mike won a Grammy at 49, and Nas is having some of the best years of his career in his late 40s with albums like KD 1, 2, and 3, as well as Magic 1, 2, and 3.
Ageist comments always backfire. If you’re lucky enough you will get to that age that you’re making fun of

None of those numbers are old lol. At 16 I looked at 26 as just a peer who’s a bit older.
@@neox9369 And this is the reason that you don't base everything off of what you yourself think/believe. It's best to be able to put yourself into other peoples shoes, understand people have different views and upbringings which shape not only entirely different world views but shapes their brain and HOW they think. The biggest thing I've come to understand over the years is that last part, of knowing and "trying" to understand that peoples brains work different from person to person, people come to conclusions differently, people literally THINK differently and some people don't even have an inner monologue (which is crazy to me)... Basically, everyone is wildly different, don't base everything off of your own experiences.

Great question
It's not about the age. It's about it being an insult. You insult your opponent on anything, and nothing is off limits.
It's always been a youngins game. The youth expressing themselves. Problem is the bars and the vibration have been lowered. Originality gone.

I've been saying it for years now. Rappers need to thank Jay Z for continuing to rap at an older age. He's the one who made it cool and took all the lumps for it.
Yeah, you’re right.. So many of the early greats (that I respect) came across as outdated old men before they even reached their 30’s…

No, Game meant the fact Jay Z was rapping at 38 years old was gross. I am not surprised by Game's mindset on the matter when Game was in his 20s, because a significant number of people in their 20s think everything over 30 is old and gross.

"I used to think rapping at 38 was ill but last yr alone I grossed 38 mill" ‐ Jayz

But they were back then. That album is still 🔥 today IMO
So true. I used to be a teen looking at "older people" like why do you still "act young"? Only to turn 36 today and become exactly one of those people I used to talk so much crap about. It happens. Your life passes you by once you're out of school. And then it just accelerates more and more the older you get. I used to make fun of my father because everything seemed like "5 years ago" to him . He used to be like... "You don't remember when we went and stayed in The Poconos? That was only like 5 years ago. " (It had actually been more like about 10 years) I'm experiencing that now. Everything seems like it was "only 5 years ago" and all your favorite hang outs and dive bars are now being flooded by 20 somethings that only annoy you until there's the random one that's into older stuff that reminds you of you when you were their age bc you were always an old soul and hanging out with people way older than you when you probably shouldn't have and you take one side look at them and give a nod of approval because you actually have hope for the future. As fleeting as it may be.
Wow this elcomment explains me to a tee
Yea I think just being younger and things changing so much every year makes it seem like a few years is a really long time. When you get older and and everything stays the same, time just flies man. I think maybe it always went fast but when we were younger we just hadn't lived long enough to realize it yet.
@@omegaweapon116 I wholeheartedly agree. But also.... At least for me ... People my age are at the cutoff of how everything used to be pre internet, pre 911 etc. Like we remember the old world pretty clearly. Life was genuinely slower back then because EVERYTHING was slower. I'd say anyone born past like maybe '93 isn't really going to remember a life or a world pre internet. By the time they were 10, highspeed internet was pretty much everywhere, a couple short years later you got wifi and smartphones, etc. I grew up more like Gen X and the generations before. So I guess that coupled with being young made everything slow and boring. I didn't have an iPad to keep me entertained. Yeah, I had a Gameboy but batteries were constantly dying so you better figure out something else to do. Things took time. They weren't as instant as they are now and I think that also contributes to how fast time flies now. I mean tech is a great example. It's advanced faster now than it's ever have in our entire history.
