I had an orange male cat exactly like this one! looked just like yours, acted just like yours! Followed me everywhere, wanted to be in my lap all the time, sleep next to me every night, 24/7 totally obsessed with being pet and never more than 3 feet away with me. I actually had to start leaving the bathroom door open when showering and using the throne cause he would sit outside the door n scratch it n cry non stop! Once i started leaving the door open he would come in n sit about 3 feet from the bowl n wait for me to finish. There was something really screwy in his brain! Good thing i lived alone! He was cute though. I totally miss him.
The small bites are kisses. I have a black cat that does this. He MUST be held before he goes to sleep and immediately after waking up. When i am holding him he does what i have named "face in neck" he buries his face in my neck and holds me on both sides. Once he realizes he went to sleep he will jump off and go get comfy elsewhere. I don't know and don't want to know what i would do without him

I had an orange tabby once for a very short while and he was like that too, and very smart. he knew how to open the door with his paw when going to bathroom. sense he litter box was was in the the restroom. he would follow me and he would let me hold him like a baby and it didn't bother him. he never got fussy or tries to bite me ever. in the mornings he would wake me up by purposely poking me in the eye with his paw, smelling my face and meowing. we would play together like we were best friends who grew up together. it was weird but in a good way. he acted like a cat but he had this personality that was so unique almost human like. if I were to call him he would come he wasn't an ordinary cat. I miss him :'(

Garfield is carefully exfoliating your face for you. Such a great relationship. Thanks for helping to dispel the myth that cats are aloof and self serving. Our Toby is utterly besotted with my husband. Runs after him and must get in front of him. Toby is our first Ragdoll cat and some of his habits are different from other kitties we have loved. Instead of asking to be picked up - Toby flops down on the floor an inch from your toes and rolls onto his back.He goes so limp it is indeed a challenge to pick him up. He weighs about 15 pounds now that he is an adult.
what a sweet little puppycat you have..lol.. reminds me of my baby boy.. who is much like you furbaby.. I get the love nibbles as well.. we are blessed to have such loving cats.. I adore my Sassy Cat as much as he adores me... I hope you and you little one have many more loving years together...
IME all cats have unique personalities just as we do. Garfield has a loving nature and has bonded strongly with you as his 'selected' human. IME if you get them as kittens in time to condition their early behaviour, spend plenty of time socialising thsm giving them lots of love and attention, this unconditional pure love beyond measure is the reward you will receive. The degree and other aspects of personality as overtly exhibited by his behaviour here vary with the individual just as with people. IMO Garfield is a pretty special boy. You are very fortunate to have been blessed with him. Enjoy him and his affection. Their lives are so short, and they leave a inconsolable vacuum when they inevitably leave us as they must. Only issue I foresee is separation anxiety when you go out. The answer will be a compatible pal, and reading your other posts it seems you already have that sorted. Wish I was young enough to outlive another kitten. Cute vid of a creature of beautiful spirit.

This is cos u gave him a lot of love when he was small, young & now you are his "mama". He reminds me to my Morris, but he had an accident & died. But he was kinder & better taking care of me than some "humans"
My kitty used to be like that. When I'd come home from work she'd be on the counter waiting for me to open the door. She would climb onto my shoulders and I'd walk her into my room where she'd wait for me to change. Then I'd give her some petting time and she did exactly what your cat does, "nibble my chin". Yes there is a close bond ♥

Kudos for holding your cat right! Ie cradling and supporting the back legs as you hold them against yr body. I learned how to from a PSA back in the 60's. I taught my boys how to hold cats and they taught their kids how to hold them. My black brat cat nibbles at me while I'm on the computer. When I sleep, she sleeps on top of me and my tuxedo brat cat sleeps right against me. When I rouse they hop off the bed scramble to the bathroom and jostle each other to get petted and then trot to the kitchen with their ears pointing back to make sure I'm coming. Those babies make me smile and keep me so happy and feeling loved.
Beautiful cat and never have seen a cat do this before. My third cat is a Siamese and she licks me sometimes and will bite you if you do not pet her. I used to have a grey tabby that died in 2010 and another striped tabby part calico that died in 2007. I love cats and thank you for giving this tabby a great home with lots of love. he didn't have a screwy brain, you just had such a great personality that he loved being around you all the time ;)

I wouldn't call it kisses, the bites is what a cat does when it's grooming. Cats show their love by cleaning you :P
Well i can only speak for my baby and when i say "give mommy kiss kiss" he responds with a small bite on my chin.
