Suggestions : I think the third screen (000) is to allow you to adjust the battery voltage reading on the display if different from actual battery voltage + or - adjustment . DL 8 screen is I think so you can set a delay (seconds) to the voltage sensing if say you are having the voltage from battery flicking up and down quickly , allows a few seconds for reading to settle. That's what I think those two settings are for.
One of the things that a controller like that could be used for is turning on an inverter that doesn't have an auto restart after a low Voltage dropout.
I use a few of these. Work great. One is to turn on a braking resistor for wind turbine. The other is to turn on an active balancer for my lifePo cells at 14.1v and off at 13.8v
Well, I just got mine to use on my new Ista Breeze. I cannot figure the crazy thing out to save my soul! I don't know what you did to program it. I get all sorts of weird stuff in the display. Out of the box it didn't work. The instructions are terrible. What is a V-Box? All the letters a b c d e f etc. If I don't hook up power to both screws 1 and 3 to +, it behaves erratically. Right now I'm baffled and very disappointed.
Hi Curt! Does yours not cycle through menus like the one in my video here? I wouldn't worry...I think the instructions they send only make sense if you already know how they work! Is it a G4 or a G5? Shoot me an email and I'll see if I can get you through it toysforwatts@gmail.com
@@ToysforWatts Hi friend! Well, again thanks for your help! OK, first I learned that a jumper MUST be in place on the 2 outer screws on the lower strip for the thing to even work! That is 1 and 3. I need to know why that has to be done. Next, I needed to change what the instructions call M,N,O from On.H to On.L. Because I want relay to energize at the high voltage limit setting to kick in the dump loads. THEN, watching your video like 6 times, figured out how to set the low and high limits! Much more simple than the crazy confusing "instructions". There are few videos out there that can go through this device in a clear manner. I think it's because the people themselves don't understand the thing! It's a nightmare, but I think I got it to "work". I used my variable regulated DC power supply to simulate a working system. Now I just gotta try it for real! This V-BOX ABC stuff just throws sand in my machinery! LOL.
Yep after posting this I started thinking it'd make a great charging circuit...my brain is so much on the generator side sometimes I have to spend a lot of time thinking about the battery side for anything there to make sense :D

When you set your hv to where u want you must go to on h then set your low then go to on and switch the h to l

too bad you couldn't run the grid tie inverter AS the dump load.

those directions are piss poor, I got the same thing. the problem I have is it micro cycles my batteries.
