If the Hoenn team was under better control it would have destroyed the Kanto team easily. Registeel should have been the lead with Stealth Rock, Toxic, Protect, and Iron Head. Only thing that can easily OHKO is a Specs Moltres carrying Overheat. Stealth Rock up means that one of the birds or Mew would have to defog away the rocks or the birds take critical residual damage and that is a switching opportunity for Kyogre to get in (relatively) safely or Rayquaza/Groudon can get in and set up with Swords Dance.

I get that you may have been trying to even the odds and it's not a bad attempt but the Regis suck infamously as in all 3 whereas Zapdos is really good and both Articuno and Moltres have offensive presence. Moltres actually isn't too bad in certain occasions in general. Also I know there are only 5 legendaries in Gen 1 but including 2 Mewtwos was enough to even the odds, didn't need to essentially give Hoenn 3 bad eggs still. Also now this last point isn't your fault, but those paralyzed moments at the end to finish it off with a crit on Hoenns only chance in this video was a huge slap in the face haha. But all in all, just keep it fair next time. As in if you're gonna make two regions fight each other with their best lineups, use their best lineups. I guess I saw where you were coming from with trying to use the trios and duos counterparts but it doesn't work with Kanto since Kanto doesn't have like anything hah
Kanto have only five legendaries and only mewtwo had 680 total base stats and mew is mythical and have 600 stats as pseudo legendary pokemon and legendary birds are only 580 total base stats. This is not fair.
Everyone saying this fight is rigged for gen 1, just like the people who said about Sander's lost to Biden in the primary. Come on people, Kyogre and Groudon shits on Mewtwo & Mew any day of the week. Mega Rayquaza stomps hard 9 out of 10 times on Mega Mewtwo X. The 3 regis are only there to balanced out the legendary birds which are pretty much even. I was actually thinking Hoenn would win with 5/10 difficulty until i saw Rayquaza getting paralyzed with a HA Zapdos. That's what changed the tied of the battle. My minor complain is that Regice runs with Toxic/protect too, just like Registeel. Other than that, good fight.
I got the point why the Regis were included to mirror the Birds but tbh the Birds are kinda better than the Regis. Also if this was a full blown representation of the Regions fighting each other at their all with their strongest legendaries why include their bottom 3 in the line up when they have like 5 others that'd be better candidates? Also like someone else said, Jirachi would've been 100% the choice to mirror Mew if he was going for that kind of fight. So what we're left with is certainly not what each Region would bring if it were the best of the best line-up from each region and also not a mirrored fight where you pair off similar Pokemon to battle each other like he did with the Birds/Regis. It's just some kind of odd grey area that doesn't really satisfy either side much. Don't get me wrong he's not a bad person or anything I'm sure but that's why the reviews weren't very great.
Groudon and Kyogre are strong its ok ... But not as much as Mewtwo should not mess around either M Mewtwo x and y has the best attack statistics of the games. Dude in addition it has 130 of speed which is already not bad when at M Mewtwo there it makes 196 of damage. It kills almost all pokemon in one fell swoop. Don't mess around! Even Groudon in his Primal form is being beaten.

While Mega Mewtwo X is stronger than Groudon, normal Mewtwo isn't, they are even depending how their EVs are spread out. But Kyoger does has a massive Special defense that can withstand normal Mewtwo and can one shot him with hydro pump (80% of the time) or water sprout if it carries choice scarf.

I don't think a Groudon or even Kyogre can defeat it because Its defense was almost perfect at the time . 154 special defense and 154 special attack. While now his defense has been considerably reduced only 90 ... At the end of the day Mewtwo has nothing to do with the games win really. Mewtwo was just Gen 1/Kanto's ONLY shot to win but due to having only 5 legendaries they benefited by having 2 of it's best legendary with one being a mega. If they did this with 2 Rayquazas it would've been a wrap. If they replaced the Regis with more suitable pairings Hoenn would've won in that scenario too. Hoenn wins here in most circumstances. Heck even if they just gave Registeel Stealth Rock like some people said it would've likely been a W for Hoenn. It's not exactly hard to see he tried to balance the fight but catered too much to gen 1 by mistake or on purpose, that part is up for question but imma give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was just a mistake cause he did say something about the birds being a sucky trio too which he's not wrong.
The hoen counterpart of mew is jirachi and no one else... , and of mewtwo is more deoxys than others. So hoen team should include them, one trio (better groundon, kyogre, rayquaza than golems) and latios or latias
Regi trio is the counterpart of bird trio in hoenn and groudon and kyogre are better choices than zirachi. Zirachi would have gotten 2 shotted by mewtwo's drain punches.

If in battle the matchup is one sided, then so be it... At least, given that consideration, we can remove deoxys from my initial picks as Mewtwo counterpart (i've looked as both mysterious, aggressive, and powerfull pokemons) since Deoxys cannot be found in game without event tickets (or cheats), and we can pick both Latios and Latias.

Well, poisoned weakend mewtwo too. Both sides were equal mewtwo's speed is faster than raquaza so mewtwo will always go for 1st attack . Raquaza had full hp ,only thing was he was paralyzed but mewtwo was battling with 80%hp. He can take 1 dragon accent from raquaza and because of his speed he can defeat raquaza with 2 zen headbutts. The situation with and without the status conditions would have been the same,only thing is mewtwo would have been found with 20%.I dont think Dragon accent can one hit KO mega mewtwo in full hp but in this game with this hp it is possible. Both the sides where equal from my perspective.

Mewtwo's base stat is 620 which is comparable to that of kyogre's and groudon's. Mew and Mewtwo were counterparts for kyogre and groudon. Regi trio was a counterpart of bird trio in hoenn and finally mega Mewtwo was a counterpart of mega rayquaza. It's totally fair.
Hoenn has more than 6 Legendaries and kanto only has 5. To ensure a fair battle, the matchup was perfect. Latios, latias and deoxys are clearly not counterparts of bird trio. Bruh it's ok that you're a hoenn fan but your battle style is clearly unfair. Accept it, hoenn lost and kanto won.

Um i have lots of problems here first 2 mewtwo seriously and you would make kyogre and groudon not have their primal form i actually am a fan of yours but not on this particular video because hoenn is my fav region and the 3 golems is like just some mythical pokemon and it should be replace by deoxys which is a counterpart for mew not mewtwobecause rayquasa is its counter part and latios latias so overall hoenn is just way too strong that kanto has to make hoenn use the 3golemjust to win they have to make this unfair just for hoenn to lose because its very strong region
Mewtwo's base stat is 620 which is comparable to that of kyogre's and groudon's.
Mew and Mewtwo were counterparts for kyogre and groudon.
Regi trio was a counterpart of bird trio in hoenn and finally mega Mewtwo was a counterpart of mega rayquaza.
It's totally fair.
Hoenn has more than 6 Legendaries and kanto only has 5. To ensure a fair battle, the matchup was perfect.
Latios, latias and deoxys are clearly not counterparts of bird trio.
