You can also use the Windows shutdown menu to update Windows, in that case there'll be more option than the usual Shutdown and restart or the optional Suspend and Hybernate, you'll have "Update and shutdown" and "Update and restart", if you use "Update and shutdown" the computer will install updates until 30% then restart, install the remaining and finally shutdown, so don't be afraid if you want to turn off your PC and you see it restarting, it will shutdown at the end ;-D
