this song is about this wonderful moment when you really transform the state from being lovers into the real love for this person. even after breaking up, this love is still there, because it is not ego based but REAL. to really wish the best for that person, deeply from the heart, is a state most people never achieve. Whilst reading her autobiography ' Just Kids' a couple of years ago, I was deeply touched by how she described her time with him. and this real love she felt for him as a person. Amen.

I TOTALLY love and respect Patti....she's my female equivalent to Todd Rundgren...who produced WAVE by the way...she left the music industry for the better part of 10 years to raise her and Freds' children Jackson & Jesse...and when she did it she was on the precipice of becoming huge in the music industry....that's a Mothers' love for you !!!
Patty was never one to focus on appearance(looks) but her vocals sounds as good as (or better) than ever. The melody is very similar to Bruce Springsteen's 1978 intro to "Prove it All Night".
@@piposalado4829 Patti got her co.writer credit to Because The Night for free from Bruce, at least in return she should have given Bruce co.writers credit for this obvious rip off..., only difference here is that Bruce`s multiple renditions of his Prove it all night intro was much much richer musically !! How about calling this Bruce Frederic (which is partly his name)!?

Choir Choir Choir sang with her. I had limited battery and memory so...next time I will take another battery and memory card.
