It's intense, distorted and uneven, with sudden bass and pauses. This is literally how you create a purposely unsettling theme. One of my favorite themes so far.
It seems that not everyone understood the idea of that theme, which is a "low key" version of the Elder Scrolls main theme. Personally, I love that idea and support it. Well done Brad Derrick.
Agreed, this theme perfectly captures the vibe of Hermaeus Mora and forbidden knowledge, and the danger lurking underneath it. I love it, particularly the creepy descending first note. Honestly, not a single main theme has disappointed me so far. I really love them all.
You mean death wizard right? I refuse to call that class a necromancer with the lack of actual necromancer spells it's more death magic than necromancy. Which is more painful as it's my main class.
@@YOGI-kb9tg Necro literally means Death; and Mancer means "Wielder of", Therefore Necromancer means "Wielder of Death" Therefore Death wizard is basically a type of Necromancer Necromancy does not entail control of Undead Hell, to use an example spell from skyrim: the Vampire's Life Drain spell could be seen as necromancy

I disagree, personally. The Mora cultists (and Mora himself) are focused on all knowledge, including forbidden knowledge (which, in a way, includes Necromancy), and I think this theme perfectly captures that vibe, of knowing the unknowable, with the first note almost sounding like the start of a descent into insanity, most likely caused by such knowledge.
I really enjoy the slightly discordant sound that seems to warp and distort the main themes distinctive notes, making it less upbeat and much darker, as if the hero is really going to go up against a cresting darkness this time. Love it.
Damn it’s been a good couple of years since there was a theme that gave me goosebumps. Don’t know why but it reminds me of Tai Lungs theme from kung fu panda. So hyped for necrom
Yeah, Brad is good at combining all manner of themes. Plenty of Jeremy Soule references in there as usual. Thank you for these. One of the strengths of ESO is Brad and his music direction. He really killed it in his score for Summerset though.
The best ESO theme yet IMO. Morrowind had the best overall OST especially with the collabs from Jeremy Soule, I'll be eager to see if Derrick can top it with Necrom
I love this Theme, its awesome the creepy dark vibes it gives, always when i enter in game, amaizing work! They honestly couldn't have chosen a better theme for 2023's chapter. 10 years after Dragonborn, Hermaeus Mora gets the spotlight once again. It's perfect.
People that are saying this isnt good just have to be deaf. There is no other explanation. Literally one of the coolest themes to ever come out of any TES game. Not saying its the best, but damn is it really good.
People that think it’s the best are deaf. There’s literally no flow or melody. It’s just a bombastic pile of small random themes taped together, plus an off key Nerevar Rising hidden after 3 minutes of nonsense crescendos. I love spooky dark, but this is way off. To each their own.

This feels like Return of the Greymoor with a Vengeance, but why does this alteration of the classic Elder Scrolls theme scream Pirates of the Caribbean?
The Pirates of the Caribbean theme has always sounded like the TESIII theme. Now that we've had the latter recycled at least 8 times instead getting new theme tunes, some of them are bound to sound slightly more like Pirates of the Caribbean than others.
really disappointing, it doesn't even feel like a theme, just random scattered collection of sounds, let's hope the chapter won't be as mediocre as this
@@RagnarCzerwony I've seen one comment saying how basically it's ok as a standalone theme but will get quickly boring, I second that, I literally had to turn it off the second time I heard it, it feels more like a headache than a song lol

Another awful rendition huh. It's giving 'lost in the house of mirrors'. Thankfully they added the function where you can pick whichever title you want so I guess I'll go with . . .

Ok I'm liking the Eldrich vibe in this trailer.
