Very informative. Ive already finished the first phase of applying ill be paying the initial fee end this week. Id like to be assisted though with obtaining the study material on rental bases
Hi there, the last time I checked with the NHBRC branch in Century City (Cape Town) they were willing to rent out the study material. I would contact them directly to enquire.
Very informative content, thank you so much. Quick question though, I recently registered a company with the intention of buying properties and selling them after renovations. Do I need to register my company with the NHBRC even though I'll just be renovating e.g painting, tiling, kitchen cupboards, aluminium windows etc and not buildong a house from scratch?...
Very good! Please can you tell us if a construction company can have workers live in a building that's incomplete. 2. Is construction work on Sundays allowed in a residential area. Thanks
Hi Mathswiz Thank you for the compliment. Yes, construction workers can live on site, however the contractor must provide reasonable and suitable living accommodation in such a case. No, construction is not allowed on a Sunday, unless it is to preserver the property.
Good day, I have enrolled a house and received the certificate. Now afterwards I hear we have to enroll the second building on the erf seperately I thought it formed part of one enrollment so all my totals was included into the first enrolment for property and land value. Not if I enroll unit two they want a valuation certificate for the land value of the second dwelling on the same erf which I already took into consideration with the first enrolment. What is your take on this ?
Hi Rampubudi No, you don't have to register for the NHBRC, you may need to register with the CIDB if you plan the tender on government electrical tenders. I have made a video on this topic. ua-cam.com/video/N3cOUXMdHFM/v-deo.html
Greetings, can a non-construction company (PTY. LTD) register with the NHBRC in the event of having interest in building or is it strictly restricted to construction companies?
Hi there. Yes, since the introduction of the new Companies Act all companies are unrestricted in terms of the object of their business. This means any company can be registered for any activity. It is up to you.
Hi there, thanks for the video its really informative.. i have an assignment and would like to know where can i get information on the CIDB and the development and impact of information technology on the SCM construction sector. Please advise if theres any information w.r.t
Hi Angelton, I have made a similar video on CIDB ua-cam.com/video/N3cOUXMdHFM/v-deo.html however to find more granular information I would suggest you read the latest CIDB financial report
Hi Edgar, share certificates are issued by the directors of the company. If you need some help with this I suggest you use the following link. www.swiftreg.co.za/Swiftreg/products/Share_Certificates.aspx
Hi Zwagala Yes we can assist you. Please use this link to download the application form. www.swiftreg.co.za/swiftreg/Products/NHBRC_Registration.aspx we charge a facilitation fee of R R1990 which excludes the NHBRC fees. Just a reminder that the technical manager must pass the one hour open book exam. Let me know if you have any further questions.
I agree, I have done the calculations and I'm shocked. The same applies to Private Industry Regulation Authority (PSirA) another SOE cash cow where the management draw multi-million rand salaries. Just take a look at their financials it's all available online.
Thank you so much, your video's are highly inspiring and educating ❤
I'm so glad!

Yes absolutely, anyone for the company including the director.
@@swiftreg so it doesn’t need for the representative to have some form of qualification and experience in that industry?
No, they just need to represent the company.
