1:22 Locals call it "Aŋgara". Ankara's accent is slightly different than the Standard Turkish of İstanbul. Unlike the Standard Turkish, Ankara and the rest of the Central Anatolian region still preserve the nasal n of Old Turkish. 5:28 I think the phrase "There is a sea but no coast" refers to Deniz Gezmiş. He was a Marxist-Leninist revolutionary who was hanged and buried in Ankara. His name, Deniz, literally means "sea" in Turkish. 5:44 Subtitle is incorrect, because Ezhel actually says "Fuck the system that seperates İncek from İncesu." His father, Murat Çelik, was a laborer. The girl had a relentless illness and I was going to Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine to support her struggle with this relentless disease, I was meeting with doctors. " One day I was in the doctor's room and one of the doctors came to me and said, "Mr. Haluk, sacrifice this girl." said. Next to me is my musician friend Emrah Aydoğdu. Emrah, "Dismissed woman meaning Elfida in Ottoman." said. Maybe it didn't meet its exact meaning, but as a concept it fit well. Of course, we hugged each other and cried. I really loved Beyzanur. " And I sat down and wrote the song. Dear Emrah Aydoğdu also did his best and made arrangements in his words. Ömer Faruk Güney also had music. In this way, I was singing to him in the last days of Beyzanur, but he did not know it was himself, he knew it as Elfida. Of course, he was a little boy lately, about 8 years old. " At that time, my companies collapsed, in the words "Don't leave a mark on my shoulder, my burden is close to the world." It was to express the following: Either I am already sunken as much as the world, I am troubled. Beyzacım was meant to say, at least, don't go. The reason for the sentence of the arms in those words that had not been embraced for centuries was this: His parents were on duty day and night. Because of Beyzanur's fragility and sick bed, they could not hug him. I didn't see them really hug. " After we lost Beyzanur, I asked her parents. You have been in charge of Beyzanur for years. Yes, we lost our daughter, but I said please have another child. A year has passed and they called me. Haluk Abi, we have a child. I said put her name Elfida. Right now that Elfida is perhaps 8-9 years old and is studying in a school. It bears the name of her sister… Haluk levent - - ELFİDA ua-cam.com/video/W94xtIKyud0/v-deo.html
Hey man! your catching the way of his saying "Ankara" at the beginning was impressive !!! He had that local way of pronunciation... not Ankara but "Angara" :))
In 3.34, they translated 'pavyon' as a 'bar'. Pavyon has a slight different consept. It is designed as a bar in 60's mafia places with Turkish music. They are very popular in Ankara and many members of mafia visits such places a lot. Events like prostitution are common and they are really really expensive.
There are a lot of parts that couldnt be translated to english. But they are in general related to issues of turkish republic and its past revolution attempts

When he said that "there is a sea but no coast" , he is talking about Atatürk. Atatürk had blue eyes and he likened Atatürk's eyes to the sea.
He is actually talking about Deniz Gezmiş . I found an English thread here it is; twitter.com/kenan_sharpe/status/1000440098779901952?s=20
WTF no. He's talking about hülya avşar lol.
