If you're in east TN, pretty much the only places that DON'T look sketch are big chains like Chili's. I thought that catfish sandwich looked baller, and I could damn sure handle the heat. The breakfast joint looked all right, but that white gravy is what some folks call sawmill gravy. It's not sausage gravy, which is usually gonna be a bit darker. It's basically a bechamel with maybe a little bacon grease. It adds moisture and substance, but it's nothing to write home about. It's meant to accompany something that's already very savory, like a chicken-fried steak.

I used to have a sketchy restaurant that closed down and turned into a dispensary. I have another sketchy place and the food was very underwhelming. There was a lot of elderly people there as well. The elderly must have no tastebuds after they get 50 yrs old. The place was old from what I saw. It’s called Uncle Sams in Bristol Connecticut. There are a few others that were sketchy but the food always ends up being ok or underwhelming.

Definitely try Columbus, Ohio... We have a huge variety of restaurants, and a lot of sketchy restaurants too lol. The ones that I have tried have been on point, but i need to try more 😭. The most interesting thing to me is the different cultures within culinary, and how they present themselves within their cooking and community. That's why Columbus is so special... Because of the variety!
Where I live, sketchy restaurants are the best places. There's a place called pizza shack and they have a buffet (don't ask me why) and it's pretty good, their pizza is actually good too

You need to come over here in Montréal, Québec, Canada and try REAL Poutine, Real Schwartz Smoked Meat, Real Beaver Tails, Tourtière, Pâté Chinois and Real Cretons ;) And I would recommend comming in February when there is 1 meter of snow all around and live thrue a real snow storm. If you do, then you can unlock the Cabane a sucre. Take some notes i'm a real Quebecer hahaa!! A++ brother

Based off restaurant work and working at a burger joint myself. Pink meat on a burger is generally considered safe, so long as it was cooked to 165 (for preground meat) or 145 (for freashly ground meat)
Technically it doesn’t have to be fresh ground beef, for you to eat it at lower temperatures. The only times we use really fresh meat Is for tartare. And 165 is basically a well done. Medium is my favorite temp still juicy yet pink but technically safe
When I was 15 Im now 44 I worked at a sketchy restaurant. It was a restaurant/gas station. I was a bus boy(bus girl) and dishwasher. It was a very small place. We had a full menu and the cooks was great. The food was 85% Homemade. We had all you can eat BBQ ribs or catfish on friday nights. Sunday was all you can eat Homemade chicken and dumplings. Looking back it did look pretty sketchy but I loved working there and I loved the food.

Yeah, if you ask me, the best burgers are red/pink on the inside. Medium rare is the way to go on burgers and steak.
