I remember introducing a friend of mine to stroopwafels when he was visiting, and he was instantly hooked. I'm not actually crazy about them myself, though. Also, as a Dutch person, I appreciate him saying Gouda mostly correct at 4:29.
@@Novenae_CCG As a danish person learning dutch I'm not super impressed by how he went the vlaams route on that pronounciation 😂 Stroopwafels are goated, but I swear he got some tiny ass ones compared to how big they normally are
I don't know a single foreign person I gave stroopwafels that didn't liked them. I gave them to friends from Hungary, Japan, the US, the UK, etc. Everyone loved it. If you give them drop on the other hand, almost no one likes it. 😅
Fun fact: Lingonberry jam is very commonly served with savoury foods, especially game meat and baked camembert, so it's not actually that weird of a component for this sandwich.
Been really depressed sitting in bed trying to get over some sort of stomach bug and having no appetite, these daily uploads have really helped, Thanks
I've had that exact brand of port wine cheese before. My uncle brought it down from Pennsylvania when he came to visit mom one day. He brought some homemade bagel chips to eat with it that he picked up from a local farmers market he went too the day before he came down to visit.
I came back to overwatch yesterday and then suddenly you popped back up in my reels… youtube is scaring me but im happy to have been reminded of your content
14:41 - I used to work in a cheese shop and we had a vegan cheese that was made from cashews! It was actually really good, it tasted like cream cheese with only a little bit of a cashew flavor
Okay, if you are going to have lingonberry for anything. Usually best for breakfast foods like crepes or waffles. Otherwise it is also nice to make a glaze out of. The tartness from them are also great with savory and creamy foods like meat and soft cheeses. Edit: I am now putting that one my list, because I miss some good lingonberry crepes.....may have to get ahold of my family in Järfälla for it.
Lingonberries are great. At Christmas in York, UK there is a viking themed place that does these with chopped bratwurst and cheese and some other mint like sauce on top of fries (chips). AMAZING.
Lingonberries are awesome with savoury stuff. The jam is tart and sweet at the same time. If you hit some meat that's a bit salty and/or has a lot of umami with some lingonberry jam, or just the berries in a sauce... **chef's kiss**
Swedish Fish are based off of Lingonberries, they’re a super yummy jam Also get the large stroopwaffles, let it sit over you morning cup of coffee for 30 seconds~ then start dipping. Best way to start your weekend😵💫🙌
Stroopwaffles are delicious! (These are mini ones in the video) We have them in Aldi (but it's called differently in our country). It's AMAZING. I used to buy them at least every month at school breaks.
Soda bread is a bread ive come to love. Its not the best but people with yeast allergies (yes, that can happen) can actually eat soda bread whereas they cannot eat normal bread
MY favourite part of this video isnt even the video hes watching its honestoy everytime flats looks at a food and stops the video to look for the food lol
Am I the only one that gets annoyed when the guy cross-sections sandwiches that don’t require a cross-section I’m talking about the one with the bagel.
Haven’t even started and can confirm that this is a certified flats classic
These Sandwiches are just like Emoggs Randomizer you never know what you'll get and what combos work surprisely well .. Love this series
how do you think he came up with the idea.. ;)
As a German living close to the Netherlands Stroopwaffles are God tier food worth every damn minute off the toothache

Flats HAS to fo a cooking episode where fans pick 3 of the sandwiches from the whole series and they have to make it and eat them
Fun fact: Lingonberry jam is very commonly served with savoury foods, especially game meat and baked camembert, so it's not actually that weird of a component for this sandwich.

Been really depressed sitting in bed trying to get over some sort of stomach bug and having no appetite, these daily uploads have really helped, Thanks
I would like to see Flats list. He added a few things in one sitting that sound really dope to try.
6:41 So I guess flats problem with ketchup is the colour? Ketchup x 10 = Flats approved
As a South American guy who lives in the Netherlands I can testify that stroopwaffles are one of the most addictive things that I have ever tasted.
The cut to flats looking up stroopwaffles is hilarious to me. Nice editing Mr editor man
I love this series flat, please don't ever stop doing this.

Flats face when he saw the grape cutter made my morning
The way flats got close to the screen and his eyes got mega wide after seeing the Grape splitter, killed me, Kekw
water chestnuts are excellent in stir-fry when you get mostly the texture and crunch as the rest of the ingredients overwhelm the flavor.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO he finally rolled the lingonberry jam. I haven't had the jam but the Juice is 🔥
Lingonberries are great. At Christmas in York, UK there is a viking themed place that does these with chopped bratwurst and cheese and some other mint like sauce on top of fries (chips). AMAZING.
Watching this guy make a sandwich from DnD dice is weirdly addicting.
yo that streamer tip at 6:00 was underrated.

We have them in Aldi (but it's called differently in our country). It's AMAZING.
I used to buy them at least every month at school breaks.
Flats should do a video of everything on the list where he actually tries it and rates them
Port wine cheese spread on Ritz is so fire
4:55 that looks “gas”? what does that mean in American slang, just wondering because it means funny in Irish slang
Fire/good
Soda bread is a bread ive come to love. Its not the best but people with yeast allergies (yes, that can happen) can actually eat soda bread whereas they cannot eat normal bread
The only time I use water chestnuts is when I am making stir fry. I love them there.
Love this show
thank you for bringing back the wii music editor-kun
my teachers danced in the halls every Friday to that song
Soda bread is a traditional irish bread and its incredible
I also love hot chocolate, coffee is like a constant debuff when I have it
Flats: I was in middle school when Friday came out. That makes me feel so old.
Me, who was in college: 🥲
MY favourite part of this video isnt even the video hes watching its honestoy everytime flats looks at a food and stops the video to look for the food lol

Brie is my favorite snacking cheese. I don't like the rind, but the cheese itself is tasty.
Why the frick is he eating the rind, bro, someone has to teach the americans
Most cheese rhinds are edible as a french I eat most of mine(unless wax, paper...)
@@bigdadycalusspaceturtle9302 Damn, i live in a part of europe where the rind is never edible

Backed Brie is A-tier but it’s a terrible sandwich/burger cheese imho
Yo I love ligonberries.
BRE IS FIRE CHEESE
Falling so far behind on terms these days. "That looks gas". So...doesn't look fire anymore? We're moving back a step?
I agree, water chestnuts are god awful. I cant stand them.
And stroopwaffles are absolutely delicious, but they don't belong on a sandwich.
Do you like beemster cheese?

Am I the only one that gets annoyed when the guy cross-sections sandwiches that don’t require a cross-section I’m talking about the one with the bagel.
