While it's hard to watch him in this physical condition, this performance of How Great Thou Art is phenomenal and IMHO his greatest performance of this song. He poured his heart out in this. Forever live the king.

When he passed it was the first time ever that a celebrity passing was the lead story. The whole world stopped to mourn him. It was a very sad time. His funeral was beautiful and people came from around the world and lined the streets and to wait hours in the hot sun to pay respect. It still happens every year at Graceland. They come from everywhere to carry a candle up to his grave. I've gone for 1. It's so awe inspiring. I hope to go for the 50th anniversary of his passing but I try to go every year when I go see my grandbabies in NC

He was the most gentle sweet man i ever had the honor of knowing, we met when i was 17 i have lived in Memphis since the early 70's Elvis was the best friend i ever had in my entire life. I won a radio show contest and the prize was a day with Elvis but our friendship lasted past that one day in time. All the memories of my friend are tucked safe in my heart forever. i saw him a few weeks before he passed we had a short conversation which i will never share again because people are so nasty and comment hurtful heart breaking things they do not know me but they still can't keep their mouths closed about things they know nothing about. I walk past Graceland everyday. if you ever get the chance to visit Graceland its something you will never forget.

I was fortunate enough to see Elvis live in June of 1977 2 months before he passed. His health was not good but his voice was still amazing and the sold out audience still loved him. It was a magical experience for a 12 year old kid. I will always remember that experience. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work! Peace

I was 11 when he died and i remember that day, my dad just picked me and my cousin up at the boy's club and it was announced over the radio that Elvis had just past away, and my dad pulled over on the side of the road and he just looked blindly in front of him, and tears was coming down his cheeks. One of the saddest days in my life. Love you always Elvis.

ITZJT…I just wanted to tell you that I agree with you 100 %. If you’ve seen much of Elvis, you know how physical his performances were…and here in this video, near the end…he had either abandoned or lost his body. But, as you said…his voice never left him. He had that till the very end.

He died 6 weeks later. I dont like people being up his RX drug addiction. It started in the Army. They gave the men uppers n downers to get thru war time. Came Back addicted n then his health got bad He had glaucoma, hypertensión , asthma, n TWISTED Mega Colón that causes severe pain n put strain on his heart. So we need to Talk about all the Positive things he gave to us. He gave most of his incorme to charitys n people in need. I have listened to him since 1956 n went to the1973 Hawaii concert n got a ticket for 3rd row center n he was So handsome Thank You for reacting to Elvis. Listen to I'll Remember You, Fever,.Polk Salad Annie, n i m sure You did American Triolgy1973 n Suspicious Minds 1970 they are really 2 of My favorites.

Poor Elvis literally gave his ALL!! Here he was extremely ill....doing 4 concerts DAILY so had to have pills to help him sleep..wake...for pain...how he even sang like this is a total miracle....NO ONE HELPED HIM yet all his "friends" claim he was beyond help....no friend is ...they rode his gravy train and complained when he had to let a few go in 1976...they wrote a nasty book about him....for money they said as he had left them 'with NOTHING'....Damn only free homes, cars, jewelry, travel...probably drugs n girls too...all their adult lives...what did they expect!!?...free EVERYTHING just coz they "were there" for Elvis!! NO REAL FRIEND would want a bean from him & they would understand he couldnt keep going like a damn donkey carrying them all! Even his EX divorced wife Pracilla uses his name to this day and has lived off him ever since...as a fan....she met him & begged him to bring her over from germany...he didnt even want to get married an cried to his granma on the day saying he felt forced into it! Thats why it was such a small wedding...then after the rings on an a baby is born "dedicated" Pracilla has 2 affairs, leaves him as she's had enough....yet waited 10 YEARS to get her prize despite knowing he had loads of other women....She's pathetic & doesnt deserve his name....she had another child by her 'long term partner'...cant remarry or she'd lose that Presley crown 🙄 RIP ELVIS ....U did good 💞 His funeral was like a Presidents - he couldve been President!!

His pills were prescribed , elvis was dead against street drugs he was not a druggy a lot of people when they hear think thats wat it was , he had a lot physically wrong with him he needed them , his life style was so that he never ate properly , ate the wrong things he was in a lot of pain for a twisted colon had arthritus , a lot of people didn't really know this about elvis he had asthma quite bad why he is short of breath here , he became over dependant on the meds , Elvis suffered from a large heart in the autopsy doctors found his heart was twice the size of normal he has 3 before heart attacks and wasn't even aware he had them the autopsy showed heart disease His lungs showed signs of emphysema, although he’d never smoked, and his bowel was found to be twice the length of normal with an impacted stool estimated to be four months old. Elvis also suffered from hypogammaglobulinemia which is a genetic immune disorder, as well as showed evidence of an autoimmune inflammatory disorder. Toxicology tested positive for 10 separate prescription medications ( for the no doubt 10 things wrong , but showed negative for illicit drugs and alcohol. they found Codeine in large amounts but that is a PAIN killer , with all wat was wrong with elvis i'm not surpised he was in a lot of pain. Elvis's Doctor said the cause of death was a natural cardiac event resulting from an arrhythmia, or sudden interruption of heartbeat, and agreed that Elvis’s death was not due to a drug overdose.

He had Many health problems but he did not want to cancel this concert Said " no, the show must go on for my fans" He was given uppers n downers in the Army (2 years)so came back addicted He had severe twisted mega colon which was very painful. I hate hearing people saying that he was on drugs well I know the real truth why He started the drugs He also had severe back pain several slipped disks, hypertension, glaucoma, asthma, but the colon they think was the cause of his death. He was also suffering from depression. He was very religious n read the Bible everyday. Sang gospel songs sometimes every night. Priscilla his wife said this. He often would have his body guards n friends sit with him hours at a time reading the Bible to them. He was a very good man n God is taking care of him now. He is singing to God n all the Angels. I m a fan of his since 1956. I also spoke to Charlie Hodge who was his confidant in 2004 n he took 30 mins with me n talked about Elvis( He wrote a book, I think was Me n Elvis)

So sad. He died not too much longer after this. I think he knew it. The physical and emotional pain he suffered was so sad. We had tickets to a show a month later. He had pain pills because like his mom he had a bone disease, colon disease, but his heart issues along with the pain meds for the other issues is what finally got him at the age of only 42. He was in love with one of his back up singers from the inspirations but she was in love with one of Elvis’ friends so he steered away. That became too much for him and after 1973 he begun a downward spiral. Today though, medicine could have saved him. So sad

But the difference between going to see Elvis and the rest, Was at all of them people were Drunk, Stoned, Like high as a kite, And trying to stay that way though the night by passing Bottles and Joint's and other stuff around, And loud.......... Not really there for the Artist as much as for the getting F***-Up.................... BUTTTTT!!!! at the Elvis concert, People stayed in their seat's Like at 3:15 and it was Quiet..........You could here everything and see everything he did. ...... That ........... Is the true Impact that the man had As they {Including Me} looked up on the stage as they wanted to watched every move and listen to every sound the king made. Yes sir ...... I saw Elvis live, And I will tell you right now that hearing him on CD's or Record or seeing him on TV or here on you-tube, Or reaction video ............
I can tell you right now.......................... It is nothing like seeing him in person, Take it x1000 to that him In person............ He was that Absolutely fantastic ! .................................. He was like the Suction of a f-5 tornado, Once in his grip son, You become a believe too......

WELCOME ABOARD ............Keep hands, arms, and legs inside your seat at all times ................. To avoid hitting nearby supporters, people, and other objects. try to Sit properly in your seat without twisting around, kneeling, or otherwise rearranging your body in a way that may compromise the effectiveness of the safety restraints built -in. Sean Fitzpatrick hello Sean. I always agree with you about Elvis’s early 60s voice. Or pretty much all of the 60’s. But the vocals on the HGTA album were always strange to me. He is approach g most of the songs very deep. Not typical of Elvis in the 60s. I was always confused about his voice on that album. Maybe not all the songs on it but a lot of them. Maybe it’s just me. I read in a book too and it was mentioned how he drones out the songs on it. But I am a major Elvis fan I love” run on “

@@alameas6358 I never had to close my eyes....I don't know when people will finally quit crying & give this man credit for his ENTIRE career. Ya know the messed up part? If everything happened just as it did, but he didn't 'appear ill' or 'gained a few pounds.' It would've all been praised, officially released, business as usual. People are so damn shallow. I could go on & on with FACTS, but nobody really gives a shit...that's what is sad. Not Elvis 1977.

      First: calm down!
Second: Elvis was sad in 1977, literally sad, he was i'll, he was lonely, he was tired of everything.
And for more than one reason!
Third: Who do you blame for what?
To explain, i'm German and i don't understand exactly what you mean!
