So glad that you found some nice items for your collections! Those were really great prices. Loved the Santa Baby pitcher!! I don’t like the “X” used for Christmas either. Always fun to shop with the two of you.
Hey sweet Peggy, quick question before I start watching, when do we get to see your beautiful home tour videos,? it's getting so close to Christmas and I'm so excited to see how you decorated this year, love your home tours. Lol I'm such a crazy vintage nerd lol. Love what you do. 💙💙
Hi Peggy and Norm 🎄 such low prices for all those treasures 🎀 I would of bought the little reindeer, so cute. I love your hot pad collection. Hope you two are having a good weekend ☃️ take care of your fingers 🤲
Hi! 👋 That first thrift store was a honey hole! I don't collect the plastic canvas, but those candles were soooo unique. I hope you bought them. Norm, very much looking forward to your fantastic window. 😁
Wowser Peggy you got some lovely goodies, that Santa climbing blow mold was rare, I've never seen that before. Another great video (as always) love to you andNorm. 💙
My toddler brand daughter keeps sneaking ornaments off the tree. We stopped at Wal-Mart and had her pick up some of her own. So far she is leaving them alone. Gingerbread train , house, and girl. A little angel and some tiny ice cream cones. They look sweet on our tree mixed with all of our unbreakable old things. No shiny brights for us this ysar.
I’ve had the Mrs. Santa for almost 50 years from Avon. I had never seen Mr. Santa. Didn’t know he existed. I need to move north. That’s were all the really good Christmas vintage is. I did purchase 28 children’s records 45 speed, some Christmas, Bought mostly for the graphics on the sleeves. They had been well-loved but still beautiful. All in a bag for &7. 50. Not any vintage Christmas here. Looking forward to you and Norm showing us your beautiful home and collections.
Fun shopping with you. I been hunting since Christmas stuff appeared since Thanksgiving. It is really hard finding anything very old anymore. Mostly 80/90’s things out there. And the prices are sky high if they think it is remotely old. I really don’t need anymore Christmas things but it is always fun to go and look. And I usually come home with something.
Hi Peggy and Norm 😄 Been to the Shalom Thrift Shop and scored a pristine set of Americana Pyrex Cinderellas for $15! Gal tried taking it out of my cart 😂
Hi Laurie! Oh wow! That's an awesome find!! 😃👍 I'm so glad you found that store a great place to shop. Congrats!! 👏 Thanks so much for watching our videos and writing to me with your fun messages❣️ Wishing you a blessed Christmas! 🎄🌟♥️
I know the modern feeling for the X in Xmas brings a negative connotation, but it actually stands for Christ. Early Christian used it as a symbol for Christ so it’s been around for centuries, so it’s not taking Christ out of Christmas at all. 😌❄️🇨🇦🎄
Just started watching this video andalso noticed it on your other videos. Can hear you great butcan hardly make out what Norm is saying. Is there a wah to fix this.
Joanne, I'm sorry about the differences in our voice levels in some videos. You wouldn't believe how much work it is for me to chop up the video at every point when one of us is talking. The phone cameras are very hard to judge how loud we should be talking. Norm usually is way too loud because his voice is just deeper and louder than mine. If he's holding his phone and filming, then I am way quieter standing beside him, unless he aims the phone at me. Our voice volumes are all over the place. It's extremely frustrating for me and causes me way too much work. Most of the channels out there have had the same problems with their friends that they go thrifting with. I seen it all the time. When Jeffrey from Real Nifty Vintage used to go out with Barb, you couldn't hear much of what she was saying, same sometimes with Jocelyn from The Crazy Lamp Lady with her husband or friends. I spend days and hours editing the volumes when I don't see others doing that. If they get loud and excited, that's what you hear, their voices getting loud with laughter etc. I've tried my best to even out the volumes to help viewers have a better experience and not have to constantly keep turning their volume up or down. A couple of our videos lately were extremely difficult to do much with Norm's comments. He admitted that he was purposely talking softer because he knew how much work it's been for me to constantly cut up the videos and lower his parts. Viewers that aren't making videos for UA-cam, etc. just don't realize the amount of hours some of us spend trying to put out quality videos. When I see the quality of some of them out there, I wonder why I fuss so much. The way that some couples or teams try to have more level voice volumes is to wear a small microphone. Norm and I bought a pair and one of them broke in no time. They are not popular because they make you sound like you are talkin in a barrel. Way too much echo-like sound. It's not natural. Thank you for attempting to watch our videos. Most of the time, it's just me talking. Norm is not overly crazy about trying to make comments on all the things in an antique or thrift store. However, many have commented that they really enjoy when we are together, especially because Norm is usually humorous. The bottom line is that I spend way too much of my life on the computer trying to make a video once a week for our viewers. I'll tell Norm to speak up a little more. We wish you happy holidays.
Wow what amazing finds-and prices! It’s hard to pick a favorite with all the beautiful things you found!
Love going along with you and Norm while you thrift!
