Bug fix update: Camera movement has been improved and smoothed significantly. Fighters are no longer allowed offscreen. All projectiles have been fixed and now do damage and appear / disappear as they're supposed to. Fighters sliding towards each other (Mileena roll attack for example) has been fixed.
Hello! If you’d like me to do a comparison of this version (which I know isn’t the final version yet) running on a real 3DO vs. real Sega Saturn, real PlayStation 1, real Sega Genesis, or real SNES, just let me know and I’ll share my email for you to send me the ISO. I won’t share the ISO without your consent; it would be solely for demonstration purposes to show how your amazing project is coming along. I can already say that some aspects are looking better than in the 32-bit versions
The 3D0 always had awesome audio capabilities, plus visuals of course. This is such great work and you should be be very proud of your efforts. What could have been …
Holy crap, he even gave the game round exclusive music loops to the stages like the arcade! This little detail sounds the best for the Portal/Kahn's Arena! Absolutely awesome!
MK 2 is my favorite arcade game, I have every (US) port of the game plus a full on arcade cabinet from 1993. I also have a 3DO and would love to beta test this game!!!
Absolutely stellar! I still can't wrap my head around the fact that it's a one-man project. Hopefully, more people will get into 3DO development because the console has such huge potential to run a wide variety of classic games.
Knew there was a reason why I woke up in the middle of the night LOL. Thank you for all your hard work, this port looks stunning!! Can't wait to play it!
Well.. not complete yet. But complete enough for beta testing anyway. I've spent WAY more time on optimizations, busy work configuration, etc.. and very little on actual gameplay. That comes next. Also, this version has no fighter by fighter fatalities.. only the stage fatalities.
In my opinion, I think this could be the best version of MK2 for consoles, of course with all the others being respected. The amount of new details is surprising, in addition to the canonical elements. All of this makes me want to play it as soon as possible. Simply one of the best works done so far! ❤🙏🔥
I haven't appeared on UA-cam for a long time and I'm very happy to see so much progress here. You are doing it AMAZING!! Great, great job. From an old school gamer my most sincere congratulations.
Awesome 3do port of MKII, man! In my opinion, I bet this is better than probe software's sega saturn, and ps1 ports (the ports that are very atrocious for their load times that can also happen between rounds and during a fatality, and when shang tsung transforms).
Oh without question. Go look at the Saturn and PS versions and compare them to this. The eye test alone will show it. This is just one guy in his spare time LOL!
TY. Yeah, soooo much time was spent ensuring load times were minimal. CD consoles are much better at reading less, but larger files than many small files.
Amazing work! Flawless conversion. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I had a 3DO back then, so I'm excited about any new release for the system. Especially such iconic game as MK2.
Looking awesome as always. It seems like the gameplay is less buggy than the last big video. Congrats on making it to this milestone! I can't wait to see how things shape up in terms of bug fixes and the multitude of small details. And I'm also looking forward to seeing the fatalities 😈
Great stuff! Congrats! Love the load times. I remember reading a review on Wing Commander III for PS1 and even that mentioned that load times on PS1 were so much longer compared to the 3DO version. Dont know if it was something with the system itself or more experienced developers tackling the 3DO version compared to PS1, but unreal job on this, sir! I'm definitely interested in testing.
Thanks man. Yeah, the 3DO (and other CD consoles I assume) like reading less, but larger files... not many little files. So wherever possible logical sets of assets have been combined and loaded as 1 single file. It makes a huge improvement with load time and memory fragmentation.
Wow looks awesome, if this was out when the 3do was out this would have made it sell like crazy.a couple of bugs left to take out but it looks awesome. Great job.
The simple truth 3DO HD what a man achieves when he commits and you are a clear example of this, how magnificent Work Graphic Sound Gameplay What are you missing for Polir because I already see it perfectly pixel perfect

This looks amazing. I’d love to test it out for you. I’ve got an rgb 480i/240p modded 3DO with mpeg attachment and a Fixel ODE and I usually main Mileena in MKII
Once you work the kinks out, this will be the definitive home version, basically what the PS1 & Saturn versions should've been. With the extras, it should be better than the arcade. Outstanding!
Hey This looks absolutely fantastic, great work. I would be up for beta testing. I have an ode in my 3do, rgb modded PAL fz1. Promise not to share the iso too.
as I had already seen in other previous videos, there is still a bit of slowness in some animations. There are still a few bugs to be ironed out here and there, but it's already enjoyable. 👍🏻

@3dohd how are people going to get a copy to play on there 3DO then if it doesn't get released on disc was wondering the same thing about the Jaguar release when it's finished only way to play would be a actual cart or disc for these older consoles

Can you please upload a video of the new ver. when you can?
People can be incredible.
This would've sold 3DO units if it would've came out in '94.
Com certeza
Can you imagine having this back then?
100% would have. 3DO was a solid system that just needed a bigger library. Jaguar also desperately needed a bigger and better library
Samurai Showdown and SSF2T didn't move many units, you think MK2 woud have made a bigger impact?
@@Blas4ublasphemy Yes because MK was a more popular franchise in the US.
