Tools for longitudinal beading are used to press stiffening forms (long, narrow depressions) into the workpiece. These are necessary for reinforcing thin-walled components. The use of a spring-loaded presser foot plate minimizes sheet metal deformation. With the continual beading tool, the bead length can be designed flexibly.
