Great vid, excellent tips. Its been 6 years and there are still new players and returning players who forgot everything. I just started a new game myself, I forgot how fun Wildlands is. Some things not mentioned.... There is severe bullet drop. You gotta aim a foot above a guys head at 300+ meters. You will have to mess around and figure it out cus every sniper rifle is a little different and weapon mods can affect it. Range finder and long barrel reduces bullet drop. The supressor doesn't effect the drop but it does slow the round down. The weapon stats are nearly meaningless... they do not reflect actual performance. Again, mess around and figure out what you like. Example... the SCAR (Mk17), despite having the best range stats, has the most extreme bullet drop of the rifles. Sync shot is very useful for convoys. Get ahead of it and use the rebel ability to tag the whole convoy and quickly use the sync shot to snipe the drivers. And they can even be used to cheese some bosses 😂. Early in the game, you can pick up a really good AR and sniper rifle off dead Unidad guys... better than you find in game for a long time. I forget what the rifle is, some AR15 platform and the sniper is an MSR... almost as powerful as the HTI and you can get them 10 minutes into the game. Just dont change them out or they disappear. You don't own them. If you lay down in a bush, enemies will trip over you and not see you, regardless of your outfit. Camoflage and ghille suits are merely cosmetic.
Don't discount the grenade launcher. The grenade launcher is indispensable for one shot kills to helicopters and vehicles and large groups of enemies all clustered together. As the heavily armed Unidad vehicles roll up you can take out the vehicle and everybody in it with one well placed grenade shot.
I haven't played a Ghost Recon game since I dunno when. I bought this one for next to nothing, and was clueless. I watched a lot of guides, and they ALL gave pretty useless info on how to get started. This video helped me a lot. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment. Enjoy the game for what it is, embrace the experience fully, because it gets severely repetitive after a day few days, and there is zero replay value.
@@gulskjegglive a lot of people shit on Ubisoft, but ill tell ya. For my money they make some massive, gorgeous, and addictively fun games. I always really enjoy their loot and character progression systems. Its addictive as hell...but they nearly all suffer from a severe lack of replayability.
@@gulskjegglive it only gets repetitive, if you don't like it. I've been replaying it for 7 years. All games are repetitive. Look how popular football is. Things need to be repetitive for you to get better at them. People spend tens of thousands of hours playing racing games driving the same circuits for thousands of hours to get 0.2 faster.
I don t think the TAR-21 is the best assault rifle in the game . I love the AK-12 . The HTI is a must have , it shoots down helicopters with one shot , and also blows up armored vehicles with one shot , max 2 . The only good thing about the Dragunov is the rate of fire , but when you are sniping you don t need that . . . . , you just have to make sure you kill the mf with the first shot , cause if you miss , he s gone . How do you shoot down helicopters if you don t have a HTI ? Do you shoot with your TAR at the copter until it blows up ?HTI is indispensable in this game in my opinion . I also disagree with some things you said about the drone , stealth is not crucial for the drone . What is stealth so mandatory for ? The drone is 10 m up in the sky usually , stealth for what ? for the birds ? Night vision is EH ? Lol , if you don t have night vision equipped you can throw away the drone at night , cause you don t see anything , so night vision is much more crucial than the stealth . Also thermal vision very useful at night for targets that are hiding or getting cover . So the most important for the drone is the battery life , second is the range . third is the mark area ,forth is zoom then night vision and thermal vision , the rest is optional . I agree with almost everything else you said , nice video , keep em coming . Also check out my channel for more Ghost Recon Wildlands content . Cheers
Use sync shot your teammate will hit guys you can't reach (Lt in helicopter side mission) when you select team fire or shoot a different guy. When you lvl up sync to can take out 4 guys simultaneously. Also hold throttle up with the helicopter then forward/back will move up and down while flying forward. if you release the throttle the helicopter will go into a hover mode.
Thanks! The game is OK the first time around, but the repetition and randomized missions get tedious pretty quick. Trying to run the same stealth mission for 4 hours really takes the fun out of it. Even more so with no quicksave and pass/fail being the only outcome. Enjoy if if you got it cheap, though.
As a former Marine I would suggest you use single shot for a few reasons. It's more accurate and surgical than automatic fire (including the three round burst). One well single well placed shot to the head will take anybody out and depending on conditions, it's also more stealthy and less intrusive. We generally didn't use automatic fire for anything other than suppressive fire, something that'll almost never be needed in this game. Also, ammunition is heavy. You can only carry so much so you want to preserve your limited supply of ammo to the extent you can. Automatic fire vomits ammo at a prodigious rate and it's not advisable. Lastly, after the first shot, subsequent shots will likely be off target because of muzzle rise. The one exception I might make for using automatic fire for in-game purposes is when you will be going on a mission that will have you vastly outnumbered in very close quarters. A high capacity automatic weapons is perfect in these situations.
Bro, it's a game. I did 14 years in the U.S. Army, infantry, combat deployment to Iraq, and a 11H instructor for 3 years. When I load up Ghost Recon I just want to have some fun, not have a digital simulation of setting the headspace & timing on a Browning M2 HMG which is the exact opposite of fun. Thanks for the comment, and go have a beer on me.
@@gulskjegglive I really like his comment and will use the information to play more realistically, because that's fun to me. Extrapolating your logic to other games, Assetto Corsa isn't fun, and Microsoft flight simulator isn't fun, and ARMA 3 isn't fun.
All fuckin trial and error, isn't it? You can't just jump in and play without reading some goddamn 1,000-page instruction manual. Like, how do you learn about all the features you just pointed out? One giant mind-boggling pain in the ass!
When I first bought this game, I played it 16 hours a day for a week or more. The adventure of exploring is what initially hooked me, but in the end, the game devolved into a simplistic skinner box. Too much repetition, contrived no-win battles, and little reward is what got me to walk away. Aside from that, it has little staying power. You fight and fight and fight, but you don't actually build anything of value. If you can pick up the game cheap, then it's not a bad weekend distraction. Thanks for the comment.
It is not a silencer, It is a suppressor, because it suppresses the noise (to decrease the decibel level below that of the normal value) not silences (to take away sound or the ability to make sound).
Correct you are. there is only one weapon that I know of that actually has a 'clip' and that is the M1 Garand. and that is known as a stripper clip. And for light and assault machine guns that feed type is considered as 'belt-feed' or 'drum-feed'.
Thank you for a great video. You are really funny. I love when you cuss!!! It is so funny. Also I learned a lot. Just got the game and I agree it is very complicated. Your video was helpful as well as funny. Thank you. :)
Thanks for the comments. I stopped playing Wildlands due to the randomized missions and little to no replayability. But the game was fun for the first 100 hours.
Not a bad vid but you stated that the first sniper you get is a horrible sniper in fact it is one of the best snipers yes it is only a single shot it is only a bolt action but that is a true sniper rifle no it's not a 50 cal but it is still more powerful than your semi-auto sniper rifles it looks like it might be based off of the Remington 700 the rifle our military used for years as their basic sniper rifle yes it has a low rate of fire but if you are a sniper it's one shot one kill you do not need a high rate of fire even after I have all of the other sniper rifles unlocked I still go back to this rifle quite often it is very accurate very powerful and has very long range
And I'm sure that's the reason you only have 677 subscribers when someone tries to give you info to help you out you should take it and consider it not be a dick nobody said anything about this being the military it is a game and a video about info should be about good info

I started playing this a couple of months ago. I have a little over 100hrs in and I'm loving it. There's so much to learn.
But after you unlock everything you the story never unlocks again on tier1. Ruins it

Thanks. Enjoy.
